I wasn't sure if this was policy, she was hitting on me, or she was wasting time to allow my therapist to get to work - did I mention she was way late?! Anyway, my patience was wearing thin with her sales pitch and had to interrupt her about 20 minutes in with, "is anyone available, right now? I mean, I don't give a fuck if you wanna do it, but I have somewhere to be." She assured me it wouldn't be much longer as she continued to try to sell me a bevy of package deals for getting regular massages done there. I told her, "let's see how this one goes first, if I ever even do get one today." My therapist finally arrived and I was shown a room. The 90 massage was not 90 minutes since they count dressing, setting the mood with incense and lighting, and getting you a water "due to all the toxins released into your system following the massage." *Note to self: check the scientific truth to these free-radical toxins being released and how water combats them. Anyway, I received about 75 minutes of hands on massage. The therapist did a satisfactory job - it was just the mismanagement of time on several levels, and she was a little chatty. When I'm getting massaged, I'm trying to relax - I want silence. I stopped responding to her so she eventually stopped talking. Needless to say, I won't be returning; it was a prolonged experience that left me more stressed than when I initially arrived.
