Ok so I have been to Sesimbra several times over the years. I have surely tried various restaurants in this village. My frequent go to is Pedra Alta. It is clean, neat and spacious. Fish is always fresh. Meals come with the usual serving of green beans, potatoes & salad; but this place also includes carrots. They have a very decent menu, great wine and cocktail selection, and the desserts are a nice portion. Some locals will complain about it being expensive, in reality it is very fair if you are truly comparing prices. One place might be a euro more or less. The ambiance, view of the ocean is worth it to me. Speaking of that, you have an option of sitting in an enclosed glass room, which is literally outside, or completely inside. The enclosed glass room is spacious and comfortable. Note that smoking is permitted if that is an issue for you. (Rarely have I seen anyone smoking, the one time someone did it dissipated and was not an issue)
Service is just right, they disappear when you don't need them, then magically appear when you do.
*I recommend you ask for Augusta, if you are a needy diner. I have had several waiters, but she is the most prompt and attentive. Food has always been great. I have not been disappointed. You should understand that service can be a challenge when it is busy, but know that everything is made and cooked to order. So it takes time. Ambiance and seating comfort are important to me. If you have been eating out here in Sesimbra, you may know that some restaurants are small and tight. Pedro Alta is comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend it. read more
