We were celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary on this trip, so we went all out. We ordered aguachile negro, tuna carpaccio, pulpo, vuelve a la vida, suerito, huachinango, and a few cocktails. Salad, potato wedges, and tortillas also came with our meal. Everything was nicely presented and tasted great! All of the dishes were so flavorful. We ended up ordering more of our favorites for our first dinner stop. There was also a young lady playing some tunes, so it made the ambience a little more romantic. She doesn't work for the restaurant, so we just gave her a tip before she left. The only complaint I have is that mosquitos and flies were buzzing around once the sun was starting to set. Other than that, I had a wonderful time here.

They have some awesome art inside along with their van out front. The area next to the ocean has bean bags that you can sit on and relax. The service staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and quick to help. Food/drinks: the food was delicious! I absolutely love Oaxaca!... we ordered the shrimp which was out of this world good and the red snapper plate which was also absolutely delicious. The drinks were also great along with their wine I would definitely recommend this place if you are in this area, want a wonderful place to eat and be right next to the ocean.

I love crepes and visited with a group of friends after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. We were starving and in need of some relaxation. They serve primarily breakfast and lunch items, with several coffee options and a full bar. The restaurant features and indoor/outdoor space where several cats appeared to be very comfortable, napping on the furniture. There were several local dogs coming and going. I liked the modern decor, in earth tones with several plants and chill music. They had sort of an artsy vibe going on. Service was decent. Despite the language barrier, they could have been a bit friendlier, as they pretty much just took our order and walked away without any friendly hellos. Service did get slow towards the end as it became challenging to track down our check, though that seems to be pretty typical of the town in general. I ordered an iced coffee with milk, which was delicious with a deep, dark espresso. My friend ordered a latte, and commented that it was a bit too strong for her, however I think I would have enjoyed it. I also ordered the Chula crepe which contained ham, mushrooms, tomatoes and oregano. My husband was very happy to order the Tocino, which contained bacon and cheese, some of his favorite ingredients. The crepes were a perfect consistency and very filling. My husband ordered a mixed fruit juice, which was really the consistency of a fruit smoothie. It was tasty and refreshing. All in all, it is a great place for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon coffee or cocktail. You can hang around like we did and pet the dogs and cats that stop in for water and shade.

The portions are big, so only one dish per person should be enough food. The service is excellent, the waiters are friendly and accommodating. The venue is not too big, so if you are not a morning person, you might end up waiting too long to be seated. The dinning area has a lot of fans attached to the walls, so it's cool and prevent mosquitoes flying to your table. The only bad thing is that the street outside is a dirty road. Therefore, if it rains the night before, you will have to walk through the mud, and the puddles kind of have a rotten smell.

A lot of the reviews here mention long wait and I would have to agree. There is usually a bit of a wait. I came in with a party of 8 so we were told the wait would roughly be 35 minutes, but it came to only 20 minutes. We were seated and the decorations and inside were very fun. The vibes were great and the people were having a great time while the staff helped further lighten up the environment. I asked for recommendations and was told that all the house ceviches were delicious. I went with the Peruvian Ceviche which had tiger milk in it. It was my first time trying Peruvian ceviche and was not disappointed. The flavors were very well balanced and loved all the different textures in the plate. I also ordered a Michelada, which was quite tasty!

Fine dining at its best in this quaint surf town filled with other good restaurants and beach in abundance. I recommend the very tasty ceviche in "tigers milk" (not sure what the sauce actually is b it wow it's so good). And the beef heart if you're into it. I am. So good. On potato medallions. Crab cake was a bit like Shuba if you like Russian food. Apps are tasty and mains and plentiful, but and bold flavors. Will return if time allows! The servers were very attentive which is not typically this culture so should not be expected.

Both were incredible. They had pickled vegetables in them and a nice crunch from the coconut. Some tips: - Give yourself 2 hours here. Pepe really takes his time and likes to get to know his clients. - Don't stay here after the sunset. It's not close to a major road so we had to walk in the dark for 30 minutes back to the main road near Zicatela. - Bring bug spray. I didn't get a single mosquito bite once in Puerto Escondido, but I got a million here. This place isn't for the faint-hearted but the tacos really were that incredible. Edit: I think this is at a new location now? When I went in Oct. 2019, it was across from One Love Hostel on Zicatela.

No locals at all when our group dined for dinner. It's casual, and honestly service is a bit lacking. The people are so kind, but the guy taking the orders also does the drinks and the inefficiency is very telling. Regardless, the shining star of this place is Pepe's tacos. I'm talking about coconut-crushed shrimp and coconut-crusted fish. HUGE tacos, so come hungry. They also had the maracuya mezcalita on the drink menu, along with some beers. So I had to go with the mezcalita, oviamente! Flavorful and not too sweet. The aesthetic is giving outdoors glamping without the glam. Tons of seating in like semi-shabby picnic table and campfire-esque chairs. Pricing is more on the expensive side, which is no wonder why all the tourists come. Worth a taste, but a one and done for me.
