The staff were so warm and welcoming despite our lack of Portuguese and the food was amazing. We had a couple of cod croquettes as a starter. They were crispy on the outside and decadently creamy on the inside. For the main course, we ordered the black pork loin with asparagus breadcrumb. The chunks of succulent, juicy pork came served with a delicious tangy gravy over a bed of fried herbed potato slices. The asparagus breadcrumb turned out to be a velvety savory bread pudding. For dessert, a scoop of homemade strawberry sorbet packed with flavor. All around, an incredible meal for an extremely reasonable price!

There's an English menu available. The food isn't going to appeal to extreme wine buffs and foodies or Michelin, but it's good home-style cooking. Not much for vegetarians. Best items were a seafood on rice dish, octopus salad, and grilled shrimp. Good almond cake and fruit salad for desert. Prices were beyond reasonable. A good dose of local color with the WC signs, that I hear is a Portuguese tradition. See photos.
