Well what can I say.. This place is one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico city... Price is…read morelittle on the high end but figure I give it a try since it ssd my last night here. The staff is amazing.. You feel very welcomed and service was amazing. Our server did not speak English so another server came to assist us with translation. Ordered the Jamon iberico de bellota and cheese to start with. They also brought small soup bread and some dipping sauce. I haven't had chance to eat jamon iberico in Spain but I have had some at other places. This jamon was really yummy and little sweet. Best jamon I've bad so far. Ordered the langoustine and baby pork shoulder lechon. The server said their lechon was best in the block.. Langoustine was grilled with butter and garlic.. But OMG... It was best I've ever had.. Such simple dish but yet so full of flavor. Server also brought bowl of dipping side which was made with more butter, garlic and some other stuff i didnt know. Server said to use the sauce to eat the brain part of the langoustine. And oh lordy yummy it was. Lechon was also amazing. The meat was melt in your mouth yummy. The server constantly came by and replaced my plate where I put the shells (about 4 times ) . Which I thought was extra nice touch. Like I said it was the most expensive restaurant I've been so far in Mexico city but man was it worth it... I would most definitely come here again.. Food was amaaaaaaazing.

Overall, a very disappointing experience here. My friend had a paella and I had a rice dish with…read moremixed seafood and both dishes were so salty as to be pretty much inedible. It feels like they put a whole salt shaker's worth of salt on the rice in both dishes. Also, my rice dish was served warm and not hot. The place does have true ambiance but the dinner really was a letdown.

We came on Saturday night for the medieval dinner, we made recommendations in advance but it looked…read morelike there was enough space where you could come last second if you didn't have a reservation. Their website said the dinner went from 830-1030, but it doesn't actually start until 9 and the show ends closer to 1130 (though the wine does stop 2 hours after they first bring it out) The four course meal is enough to keep you full, but none of the dishes are spectacular. I liked the entree the best, the boar was really tender and the nutty sauce complimented it well. It's hard for me to not like a dish where nutty is one of the predominant flavors so take it with a grain of salt. The show was very well done, even as someone who doesn't speak Spanish I found it very entertaining. They had a wide range from musical performance to acrobatics and audience interaction with giant jesters. While the show was a fun time I do think there are better ways you could spend a Saturday evening if you're only in town for one weekend. If you happen to live in the area or be around for an extended period of time I think it'a a fun night out.

The setting is really good. Everything we ordered was very tasty. We ordered the croquettes and…read moreoctopus appetizer - yummy. Also ordered the baby lamb which was really tasty and delicate. The lechon was also very good. The paella was ok because I think they need to get it out soon. Service and drinks were really good. Amazing ambiance and super clean restrooms.

We order pan de dulce for the table and we got 2 conchas, soft and warm just made. A chocolate roll and a fig and nata pastry along with coffee for the table. We order hievos rancheros with the red sauce. Huevos revueltos con chorizo, omelete con flor de calabaza y tamal de elote con crema. We also order a birria de res to share with the table. Service was very quick, efficient and friendly menus can be had in english or Spanish . My daughter order a hot chocolate with preparation table side, she said it was amazing. Fantastic place for brunch but arrive before 9:45am otherwise lines and some slight wait after 10am.

No music beyond the 2 guitar player going around table to table to see if you wanted a serenade. Skipped their offer 1st time around. Pretty quiet, bright and clean. Found that waiter spoke a little English and with our little Spanish got things done. Menus are bilingual Spanish-English. Ordered 4 lamb tacos, chile en nogada, cooked chicken in green sauce and a fish dish (forgot name, little spicy) then a coke, horchata and a pineapple drink. We got chips, cheese, sauce while waiting. Those were all nicely done but average. Dishes out maybe 10 min later. All presented well and hot. We shared each dish. Lamb tacos nicely done, little dry, but they give you some guacamole, a brown sauce, along with the green sauce and cheese with the tortilla chips. Nice, not fatty. Next was the chiles en nogada. First time tried this and really enjoyed, many flavors and nicely flavored beef. In general little on sweet side, so probably couldn't eat more than 1. The chicken in green sauce was a homey, comfort food. Nicely cooked chicken leg and thigh was an ever so slightly spicy sauce. Also came with tortilla wraps and Spanish riceLastly was the spicy baked fish. Done well, fell apart pretty easily, was spicy, but not too much. Had green beans on side done well, not too soft or hard, and Spanish rice. Drinks were all a hit. Coke is coke. Horchata and pineapple juice served in big mugs. Pineapple tastes freshly squeezed and horchata was a super solid example in every way. Oh almost forgot, later in the meal we figured out how to get the 2 guitar fellows to play for us. 2 songs for 300 peso, about 7min total. They did a good job with both the guitar and singing, was enjoyable to listen to them. Would stop back again if in area.
