Many basque speaking locals frequent the store, which is a good sign too. Located right in downtown near the plaza mayor you can find Panchi. The place is always packed but service is really amazing and I mean fast and always with a smile, you have Pintxos or rations, I always go for the filled mushrooms ration and the Pintxos I recommend are: cojonuda (quail egg with a strip of pepper and a slice of morcilla) Tigre (veggy and mussel meat ). There are plenty of wines to choose from and prices are good, it is not the cheapest but it's food is worth it. You can also have lunch or dinner but better make a reservation because rarely they will have a place.

Excellent restaurant!!! Service was very good... Food was great.. Location was nice!…read more After we'd walked around this beautiful little town and admired the incredible, amazing cathedral of Burgos we needed to defrost ourselves as it was quite cold outside and in the church... La Parrilla served our needs! They had a good selection of black, green, and red teas as well as infusions and also served beer and plenty of other much desired drinks. We warmed up in the bar section until they opened the restaurant part. A few of us decided to order a "chuleton de buey". 1100 grams of mouthwatering meat served on a hot block of Himalayan salt or something. We cut of slices of meat and roasted these on this hot "stove" until ready according to personal preference. The corn was fresh and tasty and the grilled asparagus also quickly disappeared into our stomachs. The wine selection was good and we were happy with the restaurant's recommendation... :) While having dinner they charged the battery of my phone for me. Not the most important of this dinner, but for sure appreciated. Brilliant evening at this place!

We started with jamon croquettes which were delicious. There were six individuals ball-shaped croquettes. The cheese and ham on the inside form a light texture. We shared chicken fingers. The seasoning is unique. It came lightly crumbed, and cut into small pieces with a creamy dipping sauce. They tasted great- not overly fried. I ordered huevos rancheros. I'm accustomed to Mexican-style huevos rancheros. These, served in a small iron skillet, have a flavor of their own. The ranchero sauce is tomato based- added lightly on top of the huevos. The potatoes are more like french fries. Very good. For dessert, I had chocolate and churros which I definitely recommend.
