Visit #1: We waltzed in late afternoon in search of a seafood snack. The friendly staff were eager to seat us, despite afternoon food service closing up soon.
€4.50 Half portion of steamed mussels...fresh, simple, delcious, and cheap!
€5 Half portion of razor clams...all my seafood lover friends told me I had to try these weird clams. They were just okay, the wife didn't like them at all. I'm not sure if they were cooked improperly or not fresh, or maybe its just not for us.
€3.50 Fried Eggplants...I forget to eat enough vegetables on my travels, luckily these were delicious! Then again, what isn't delicious after being deep fried?
€2.20 glasses of wine...gotta love Spain!
At the end of our meal, one of the waiters came by give some free apertifs, gracias! Not sure what they were, but I'm not one to turn down free alcohol.
Visit #2: TAPAS!!! Just get yourself a house wine for about €2.50ish, and you can choose a free tapas from about about a half dozen choices, including seafood! I got some deep fried anchovies, simple but delicious. I didn't but, but yo could multiply this by four, and be drunk and have a light dinner meal! Just note the free tapas is only in the bar area, not the full service dining areas.
Besides the weird razor clams, which I didn't like or dislike, and might have been the culprit for a sick wife later on, El Pulguilla is definitely worth a visit to satisfy your seafood cravings.
