Restaurante Centurium is located in the Hotel Bracara Augusta. The dining room is nicely furnished and decorated, with two large glass doors that fill the room with light. Additional seating is available beyond the glass doors in the patio, overlooking the garden and water fountain at the back of the property.
For appetizer, I started with Degustacao de Entradinhas (Selection of Mini Starters), which was a lovely spread consisting of cooked shrimps, smoked salmon, shrimp risols, brie cheese, cold cuts, and roasted hot peppers. Flavor was fine and loved the selection.
For my main course, I ordered Bacalhau a Braga (Codfish Braga's Way), the classic Portuguese cod prepared in Braga style. A solid piece of cod was served with scalloped potatoes and sauteed onions, with olive oil generously poured over the dish. It was a huge serving, of which I was able to eat less than half of it.
I finished the meal with Delicia de Chocolate (Chocolate Deliciousness), a beautifully plated concoction made with layers of cream and chocolate, topped with thin slices of roasted almonds.
Street parking is available in front of the hotel, along Avenida Central. Service is friendly. read more
