I went with…read moresome co-workers and I had the best experience in any restaurant I have ever been to in Hamburg, period. To start the service was outstanding! The owner was actually out there helping seat, serve, and take orders. He also recommended and described dishes in great detail. The atmosphere is also nice, its modern decor and prefect size made everything even better. The food was absolutely delicious. The steak literally melted in your mouth. You could cut the steak with your fork it was that tender! I had a 300g Rib Eye, Green Beans, and a Baked Potato. The green beans looked like they had been cooked on a grill and bathed in herb butter. The wine that was recommended was just the cherry on top. Prices are reasonable for a steakhouse and you could get a good steak for under 20€. I would defiantly recommend this place and will also be returning several times! It's a hidden gem in Hamburg since it's not on any main walkway or near any train stops but still very easy to find. Everyone should check it out.

A final course of chunks of Parmesan. Good wine too but most of all was great service and attention from our waiter. I have been in hamburg for nearly two months and it was the best place I have been to so far. I look forward to coming back.

I freaked out a bit when I saw it was open, but it actually tasted really delicious so we didn't say anything (not that he would've understood what we said anyways). Service was a bit slow considering it was one waiter for the entire restaurant, but the speed is to be expected of a European restaurant. I might come back for dinner if I'm craving a steak. Entire bill for 3 people with drinks (a beer and a bottle of wine), 3 steaks w/ sides was like $50. What a steal. He also didn't bring a bottle of water after we requested it (tap only), so that was unfortunate.

Normally don't eat any meat but occasionally will eat seafood and fish. I started with the seafood chunky chowder and it was thick and creamy with tons of flavor. Great way to start. For my main I ordered 3 types of fish tartare. They could not have been any better. The highlight was the salmon tartare Asian style. Wow was it freaking delicious! Now my side dish may have stole the show. Mashed potatoes with sautéed shallots and black truffles! So amazing! So if ever in Hamburg Germany hit this place up!

Anyway, lets forget that for a moment, the steak is great, as is the service. I ordered a rare steak - so it shouldn't take long to cook, but even so I was amazed to have it sitting in front of me in under 10 minutes. It comes on a hot plate (see photo) and so is sorta still cooking when you receive it. You even get given/offered bibs to stop the juices from spitting off the hot plate onto your clothes (I would recommend accepting the bibs). All in all a very good steak. The fries were nothing special, but the price is reasonable.
