For the price... it doesn't get any better than Restaurante Brazil. The options are limited but delicious and suuuuper cheap. My wife and I can eat here for under $20 and walk away very full. I typically do a takeout option. You walk in and grab a styrofoam container...and then load it up o with whatever you want and as much as you want. I typically get a scoop of white rice, a scoop of black beans, and then 4-6 plantains. Then it's on to the meat. Sirloin is what I LOVE here. I get a few slices of medium and a few slices of rare. Then you go to the register and they weigh your food. You pay per pound for what you order. Everything here is amazing. Also, the staff here is super nice. English, Portuguese, and Spanish are all spoken here. Everyone working here that I have come in to contact with has been super nice and professional. The people here are amazing. You pick what you want to eat, you serve yourself and at the end you weight what you got and pay for it. They have great price for the pound and it is definitely great value for your money. Decor/ ambiance This is one of those places you food for the food. If you are looking for a nice, white table service, forget about it. You go solely for the food. Service Good service. I am Brazilian and I do visit Brazil quite often but every time I return I always end up missing the food at most. So the few times I make the trek up to pompano to buy some Brazilian goodies I typically don't venture into any of the restaurants but this time I was starving and could not resist the smell from this place. You go in and pick up a plate (don't forget to stay clean and grab yourself a glove too) and the world is your oyster. There are so many options in regards to salads and sides but at the end of the buffet is where the real deal is.... They have listed all the meats you can imagine and all you have to do is tell server what you'd like and how you like your meat cooked. I couldn't resist in getting the picanha and no Brazilian lunch is complete without rice and beans. Only downside was the ox tail was a bit too fatty for my liking but the picanha was perfectly tender I almost went back for more. Once you're don't serving yourself up just don't forget to weigh your plate to pay later. Oh and if you don't grab a guarana then you didn't have a real Brazilian lunch. I tried the freshly pressed sugar cane drink ( which they prepare when ordered). It was delicious. It reminded me a lot of coconut water- it has a lot of antioxidants and health benefits (look it up!). If I lived in the area I would be visiting this place of the regular. I also tried the coconut cake and yuca cake -- absolutely outstanding! Then we walked over to the restaurant side and got ourselves some skewered meat and a bunch of sides. This is buffet style and you can either eat it there or take it to go. The price of your plate is determined by the weight. I had the garlic sirloin and it was tender and very tasty. I saw this place had four and a half stars, so I decided to try it, since I liked Feijao Com Arroz so much ( its a Brazilian place just a mile east of this one) . Despite the nominal higher star rating, this place does not compare as well. The food at Feijao just tasted better, there was a bigger selection at Feijao, and Feijao tares their scale with a plate before you weigh your food. I thought the meat here was pretty bland, and they don't charge their meat as nicely as the other place. The only thing this place has going for it is that it's a little bit cleaner. Given the choice between the two I would rather go to Feijao Com Arroz. read more

The hardest critics I know when it comes to food is my mom, and her sisters. So, when they told me how great this place was, I knew I was in for a treat! My family is a big fan of Brazilian Steakhouses, so consider this the food court version of that. As we stood in line (which moved pretty fast), my aunts spent their time telling me what was their favorite things to eat (beets, black beans, potato salad, chicken wings- described as amazing!, and sirloin). Basically, it's pretty much buffet style, until you get to the meats, in which you tell the guy what you want off the list of meat (pretty extensive!!!) and he gives you large portions. You then have your food weighed, are given a number, and find a seat. Since we were a large number, the employees helped us sit together, which was an awesome bonus. You're more than welcome to go back and get more food, to be added to the bill on your number. The unexpected winner of the meal was the dessert! Arroz con leche was a hint of lime, which typically, arroz con leche is made with lemon, so it was a refreshing twist. The Flan was super creamy and melted in your mouth. Not overwhelming in caramel, it was amazing. A casual alternative to more upscale (and expensive!!) Brazilian steakhouses, def worth a trip. read more

On a weekend afternoon this place was packed, and with pretty good yelp reviews I had high expectations. Unfortunately this self service buffet did not deliver for me. There is a small buffet: first one with some salad items like beet salad, lettuce, tomatoes, tabbouleh - nothing even slightly interesting or outstanding looking. I skipped this entirely. The next table had hot items including white rice, black beans, some vegetables. I tried a dish with red pinto beans, bacon, and eggs. I also tried sautéed kale. Both were tasty, but barely warm. The star of the show is the meat, which the men behind the counter cut for you upon request. I tried small portions of the boneless rib, garlic sort sirloin, and skirt steak. I also tried my son's bacon wrapped chicken. I found all the meat to have a decent flavor, but all were way too overdone for my taste. The best was probably the boneless rib. Food is charged by the pound. I saw no sign saying how much it cost. The only way I had an idea was from previous yelp reviews. Our plates, which were not "overstuffed", ended up averaging about $8 per person. Pretty cheap. Watch your bill there. They tried to charge us for tap water. The meat was good, nothing spectacular. My colleague had their rice and beans and said they were very good. The only thing I did NOT like about RB was that the bill was a SURPRISE.
