I was there with a large group of people as a part of a baptism ceremony for my friend's daughters. Hence we had a special menu, although it is fairly consistent with their overall cooking quality and style - a mix of traditional and modern French and Alsatian cuisines.
This place is definitely very family friendly. Actually, it's just friendly overall - staff was very helpful, even if the service for such a large group was a bit slow. They rightfully assumed that we were there to talk and enjoy our time together and not to eat as fast as possible.
Wine selection was pretty amazing - as a wine aficionado and considering myself fairly familiar with Alsatian wines, I was still surprised at the wines their sommelier picked for our table.
As an entrée, we had puréed soup as well as Tarte Flambés - to be honest one of the best I've tried until now. Living in Alsace for a significant portion of my life that's a pretty tall order and yet they were successful.
As a main dish, I opted for some fish and was not disappointed again. Excellent presentation, great choice of spices and flavor profile mix and cooking just on point - overall an amazing experience.
Similarly, for the desert, I opted for a chocolate mousse and was once again not disappointed - molten floating chocolate stemming from the core was definitely a flavor and smell to behold of.
Overall, it is an amazing place, even if a bit remote, and is definitely worth going to if you have a large party and want to enjoy your time together. Just think in advance about reserving and make sure you have fluent French speakers in your group.
