My daughter and I ate here our last night in town. Everything about the experience was great…read more First, the building and the beer garden were perfect -- not touristy in the least, and sitting outside was just great. (There is a park behind the beer garden, so the overall vibe is super chill.) As for the food and drink, they exceeded our expectations. After having eaten out a lot over a two-week trip, the food here was much better than most of the places we visited in Germany. The pasta my daughter had was great -- lots of fresh veggies mixed in and it was her most memorable dish the entire two weeks. I had the white asparagus with a schnitzel and could not have been happier -- the asparagus and hollandaise sauce was outstanding, and the schnitzel one of the better I had all trip. As for the service, the folks who helped us were polite, funny and cool. I highly recommend this establishment. So glad we found it. Highly, highly recommended!!

What a fun restaurant. I think it really caters to tourists and it does a good job of it…read more The restaurant ambiance is really fun - very German including servers wearing costumes and a roving musician. The servers smile and are very nice. The food was great. We had suckling pig with a potato dumpling, bread with schmaltz and a soup. It was admittedly a heavy meal but that's what we were seeking in coming here. Would I come back here? Yes, in a heartbeat.

Very nice place to stop for beer and small or large bites. I got the weisswurst with monthly beer…read morethat rotates and my husband got the meatloaf with potatoes and cabbage. The weisswurst was very tasty and came two in an order and served in a tasty broth with small veggies. It also came with a pretzel which is a great deal for 7€. The beer was tasty as well. The meatloaf is very dense and cut like a thick ham slice. On the salty side, this was well balanced with the sour cabbage and potatoes. We also ordered a side of beer sauce which is similar to a gravy and goes with meat dishes, not an accompaniment to the pretzels. The sauce tasted strongly of dark beer. Service was wonderful and we were checked on often by our server. Menus have English translations and it was nice to see a good mix of both Germans and foreigners here. Overall a great dining experience.
