Great place for trout and prepared nicely. The restaurant needs some more credit aside from it being a hotel. I did not really look into the hotel part but I have eaten here twice (12 years ago and this trip) and it's got some good trout. Maybe it's just hard to find some good almond butter pan fried trout around Iowa USA, but it's a must. The restaurant itself is not upgraded but has that somewhat old hunters lodge feel. Service was good. The scenery is nice outside as well around the area. read more
