The robes, slippers, and in-room coffee were all great, and we were surprised with champagne and chocolates for our anniversary, which was a memorable gesture. The blackout blinds that closed by remote were a small but luxurious detail, and the front desk staff were welcoming throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the restaurant, SILK, located in the lobby. It's a cozy, romantic spot with soft lighting and excellent service. Our first dinner there was delicious ~ we had octopus, fish, and glasses of Chardonnay that paired perfectly. We returned on Sunday for a light meal of cheese, wine, and salad. The location is quiet and peaceful, away from the busy Old Town but very convenient to the beautiful walkway along the Lake. The rooftop terrace was a highlight with stunning sunset views. We would definitely stay here again!

I booked it as a Hilton Honors member and was first skeptical, as I didn't know much about it but this place went BEYOND my expectations in every way. The hotel was immaculate, staff were all very friendly, and the rooms felt like an upscale apartment and not even a hotel. Each floor is also themed with a different region of the world, such as France, Asia, England, etc, which was cool and it was done in a very tasteful way. Good quality amenities in the rooms and our room even came with robes - I was living my best wannabe luxurious European life!

Hotel St. George's - Zürich…read more This small, three story boutique hotel located centrally in downtown Zürich, with accommodating staff. I walked to this hotel from "HB Train Station," when I first arrived in Zürich. I wanted to explore by foot streets of Zürich. When I walked in, I really enjoyed the lobby (I forgot to take pics ). It offers a touch of historic elegance. Lobby area also leads to their own restaurant area. Breakfast can be purchased separately at the restaurant or at the time of booking. Once the friendly front desk lady finished accommodating a guest before me, she invited me to sit at the comfortable furniture by her desk, to check in. As she assisted me to check in, at some point in our conversation, I mentioned that I forgot my universal outlet adapter. She said, "I do have one extra I can give you for 10 Swiss Francs." It was her personal one. I felt bad she was giving up hers, but I was so grateful. "Thank you for offering me one, yes I will take it. I researched that it would cost 30+ Swiss Francs at a store." It was a wonderful first impression of the friendly and welcoming staff. Once I received my key, another staff member guided me to elevator and up to my room. The room was fairly small with a small bed, and personal sink, but for solo traveler, it's perfect. (All other hotels were more expensive and further away from downtown). You do share toilet and shower with other guests. Each of the three floors, offers few toilet rooms and shower rooms. At first, I was a bit concerned since I've never stayed in hotel with this type of arrangement. But, honestly, it was not an inconvenience in any way. I never had to wait for other guests. I had a balcony that I walked out every morning and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Every night, I propped my window open, fell asleep and enjoyed waking up each morning to chirping birds. Overall I would recommend this hotel and look forward returning.

The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. I was a tad nervous sharing a bathroom/shower with others, but didn't notice a difference really. Never had to wait for either. I did get breakfast one morning and it's a buffet style of typical European foods. Eggs, breads, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, muesli, cereal, and yogurt. Delicious. With tea, coffee, juice, and water. I wish I would have gotten it the whole stay. I would definitely recommend this establishment. Especially for the price and location. Close to train station and many restaurants and sites.

The lack of communication and follow through has been an absolute nightmare. Let me start off by saying: we are longtime, loyal Hyatt guests and typically do not stay with other brands unless a Hyatt is unavailable. With that being said, we are very familiar with Hyatt properties and their service standards. However, this was our very first stay at a "Park" Hyatt (and we had saved almost all of our points for), and given the brand's reputation for elevated service, dining, and accommodations, our expectations were understandably high. The week prior we had actually stayed at a Hyatt Regency (considered "lower" than a park Hyatt) in Amsterdam--which exceeded our expectations--making this experience even more disappointing by comparison. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a bellhop and offered water while waiting to check in. The lobby was particularly stunning as it had a huge, non-artificial Christmas tree in the middle of the room. Check-in took longer than usual, and we were asked to wait in the hotel restaurant. After some time, a staff member who appeared to be a manager encouraged us to order whatever we wanted, stating it would be complimentary (never a good sign as it usually means they are conditioning you for some bad news). Shortly after, we were informed that the suite we had booked using 120,000 points was deemed insufficient for our family of five and that we would need to pay an additional $900 per night to be moved into a larger room against our will. Since the front desk had already issued key cards to the original suite, I went up to take a peek. Based on my observation, it was more than enough space for our family, particularly given that our children are young and require minimal space. However, after spending over an hour waiting and hoping to salvage the remainder of our evening, we reluctantly agreed to the upgrade--an additional $2,700 total--despite having already redeemed a significant number of points for what we believed was a suitable accommodation. The following morning, we went downstairs for breakfast and then returned upstairs to prepare for the day. When we made it up to our room, housekeeping greeted us and asked that we not enter, stating they had just begun turndown service. I let them know that our plans for the day could not meet that request and we would only need about 20 minutes in the room to brush teeth etc. They stated their request...again. We found this extremely unusual and uncomfortable, as we have never before been told we could not access our own hotel room. We proceeded to move into our room. When we entered the space, we found it partially turned down, which was expected and not an issue at all. However, one of the beds was visibly soiled. This was both surprising and concerning. Regardless of room category, this is not something we would expect at any Hyatt property--particularly after paying an additional $900 per night for the forced upgrade. Overall, this stay was disappointing and fell short of the service, cleanliness, and value we associate with both Hyatt and the Park Hyatt brand specifically. I would encourage future guests to explore other properties for a better bang for their buck. Based on our experience, this location did not meet the standards we have consistently experienced at other Hyatt properties worldwide.

Thanks to Pascal & David for wonderful front desk service! The location is very convenient from the airport. Take train S2 or S24 to Enge and cross the street to the hotel. It's only 15 minutes. These are Swiss trains, so they are clean and on time. It's walking distance from Old Town and many tourist destinations, though not right in the middle of them, so it's quite peaceful. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast (included in the room charge) each morning, complete with coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon, and an array of pastries, breads, cured meats, cheeses, juices, cereals, and fruit. I think there was even champagne, though I never partook. Breakfast is served from 6:30-10:30am M-F and 7-11am S-Su. It's great that breakfast hours span the entire time one could conceivably want to eat breakfast. The Enge station has a convenience store, a bakery, a pretzel store, a Sprungli (chocolate shop), a Chinese restaurant and a McDonald's that's open almost 24 hours, for when you have jetlag and the munchies. There's also a convenience store and Starbucks right next to the hotel. Other than that though, there's not a ton in the neighborhood. I did have an issue with the shower. The water was either scalding hot or icy cold. It took a lot of adjusting to get the shower to be warm, and then sometimes the water would suddenly get really hot or really cold again.

We needed early checkin as our flight came early and she made it possible. We were in Suite #2: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with fully furnished kitchen; AC including full Washing machine and dryer (in the basement)! I absolutely loved this place. Sylvia (the Mom) was amazing and extremely helpful as well. I believe they can also provide you a parking spot if you need one. The best part about this place is: (1) pharmacy at the corner (2) coop supermarket a few blocks down (train can be taken there as well) (3) so many cute/cool walking stores nearby (4) safe to be out and about ~8/9pm if you're jet lagged (5) train stops a few feet from the hotel. We were able to go around the city with so much ease and comfort knowing we wouldn't have to walk after a long day of walking.
