The terrace is really beautiful on a sunny day and even though it is big and busy, the wait staff does a great job of keeping track of everything. The building is stunning, with gondolas seamlessly entering the building with ease and precision. Next, enter the super modern but also traditional restaurant designed by these architects. Areas for sitting, relaxing by fireplaces, eating in booths taking in the astounding views... all are so inviting. It is clean, designed to serve many who arrive to either ski, hike, or simply take it all in. Even the bathrooms are designed for functionality in all seasons, when snow is abundant and ski boots are a clunky. We had the traditional Schlortzifladen dessert, a small wedge of deliciousness, similar to a tart but not too sweet. You must order one to understand how delicious it is. A combination of cream, pears, and perfectly complimentary crust to wow you. If you want whipped cream on the side, it will cost you a franc more, but who cares at this point. This is my cousin's favorite treat when she visits this area, as it is not readily available everywhere. It was super windy and cold, so our stroll along the cliffs overlooking the lakes below was cut a bit short. The trails are beautiful, well marked, and plentiful. This restaurant if in view all along the hike, breathtaking from many areas of the walk.
