It is a very easy causal environment and you don't have to dress up for this restaurant. I really like the cheese board where you can try different type of meat. The Heid-Stübli is set in the basement of the Hotel Lenzerhorn, and specializes in fondue and stone-oven pizza. The main dining room books up in advance, but the bar (where you can get drinks and pizza, but no fondue) is first-come, first-serve. We got some Quattro Stagioni pizzas and local red wines; the prosciutto was excellent, as were the mushrooms and green olives. There's a serious family atmosphere here --- there was an ever-rotating group of kids staring amazedly at the flames in the pizza oven while we were there, and the waitstaff (mostly) dealt with it well. The décor is rough-hewn-wood-and-antlers --- nicely rustic compared to some of the white-linen places on Voa Principale. Our pizzas were great --- and we'll be booking some fondue for our next trip.

The Pizza Rustica listed mushrooms (tender), good melty cheese, and the three most substantial lamb filets I've ever seen on a pie. Plenty of food for one person, but probably not enough for most pairs. Our second dish (both for variety, and to replace mountain-wandering calories) was Tagliatelle Siciliana. Again, large, tender filets (beef this time), and good (if overcooked) pasta. The "Coupe Tiramisu" is a Tiramisu-flavored ice cream sundae, not standard tiramisu --- and it includes Cape Gooseberries and grapes. Plenty of space just off the deck for kids to play, as well. Just leave plenty of time to grab the waitress' attention, and let the cook do his thing, and then pay. Everything from a metal palm tree, a bigger than life-size, wood-carved bear swinging a golf-club, a metal figure made complete out of the owners metal ski-trophies (also swinging a golf-club) - did you guess he also loves golf;-)? The food is excellent - from the classic rosti (with ham and eggs on top!) to the home-made barley soup and more! Lastly - thee BEST brownie! Perfectly sweet, but not too sweet!
