La Patate Dorée - Terrible Customer Service…read more Thursday April 27 After frequenting this restaurant two times per week with my disabled roommate, I am now finished with this restaurant PERMANATLY. After a 25 min drive from Chateauguay, my roommate and I arrived for a good hotdog. As usual I placed our order which is always the same, so much so the staff knows my order by heart. * 2 all dressed cheese dogs with extra onion and a small fry for myself * 1 all dressed cheese dog with extra onion and a cola for my roommate. We received our hotdogs with only cheese and onions. So I got out of the car and brought it back to the window to have the order redone. She asked me if I wanted to keep the order anyway, and I replied no please remake it. She hands me back 3 Hotdogs, 5 mins later with no fries. I gave my roommate his order as it was correct and put mine in the garbage. Being upset now I went inside to re-order and even take the loss of 15$ for 2 dogs and a fry. She then asks me why I put it in the garbage and began complaining instead of taking my order. I told her you made 2 errors, NOT 1, But 2!! I even come back in to pay again because you can't get a simple hotdog order correct. She told me she would have made the fries and acknowledged she had made ANOTHER mistake. I replied so I'm supposed to wait and let my hotdogs get cold while you fix yet ANOTHER error?? She then shrugs and says she can't do nothing. Being so disgusted I just left. Arriving home 25 mins later I decide to call to speak to the owner. I was then passed to same cashier and again, she acknowledges her mistake and apologizes and tells me she's busy and then hangs up in my face. I was never offered any kind of compensation for HER mistakes. Again, she not only made 1 mistake but 2 back to back and no compensation was offered. The food might be good, but the customer respect is absolutely ZERO. I seriously recommend going somewhere else. Don't give them your money.

The poutine had a some what dark sauce with loads of cheese. The burger was delicious. Cold but again that's not their fault I should of ate it there I'm sure it makes all the difference. The burger is made with real meat so it's not one of those dry pucks from McDonald's. Dressed up like a typical burger with pickles and it was awesome on sesame bun. I will 1000% try them out again but I'm going to go and pick it up myself or eat it there because the pictures online look fantastic and I know it's possible.

Imagine you're making home fries at home and there's those rounded end pieces of potato that aren't quite the A grade cut potato for a french fry. It doesn't quite fry up right and we unconsciously push that rejected fry to the edge and eat around it. Now imagine almost all the fries are from that reject pile. Quite unappetizing. The poutine was assembled in a peculiar fashion of B-Grade-Reject fries, drizzle of poutine sauce and chopped up curds piled on top. When assembled this way, your poutine of disappointment does not melt the cheese curd. Great steamy hotdog though. I think I'll make spaghetti next week and enjoy carbs without disappointment.
