The story is heartbreaking, but Bar Es Roquessar may help you forget this sad tale of woe, especially after ordering a glass of cava, some tapas or if you are feeling ambitious, an order of their suckling pig. Great setting alongside delicious food and desserts. Make a reservation as it's small and popular. (It's a restaurant catering to tourists but of options Valldemossa, it's one of the only foodie looking decent options outside of Es Taller.) We were turned away our first night, but were determined and returned next night early and had no problem getting a table.

The empanada, salad and gambas were delicious and Spanish in flavor. The gyoza, sea bass and cannelloni had an Asian twist. Noticing quite a few places are serving more of the fusion cuisine. The mojito was refreshing. The restaurant is located in the plaza where the monastery and Chopin museum are located. Lots of tables outside for dining. Very pleasant.

When we asked for a table, the waiter told us that they don't have high chairs, a kids menu and they don't change/substitutes any items on the menu. At first I thought, since Valldemossa is more touristy that maybe a lot of people can be a little difficult at ordering. We decided to stay and during our quick dinner we saw three other group of guests getting turned away. The first was a family that left because the waiter was being rude. The second was a group of 4 that wanted to eat dinner but they were not allowed to stay for dinner but could have a few drinks. The third was a couple who wanted to just sit and have drinks and were told no that they could have dinner. We were the only ones sitting outside and there only was a group of 4 inside. As far as the food, we ordered the Suckling Pig and the Patatas Bravas which was really good. The view is really nice.

We had the albondigas and spring rolls. Both were very good! The restaurant is at the end of an alley on the right going towards the valley. Hidden gem.
