This is the second time in two years that I've been to Flor de Sal, and it's still just as great as…read moreI remember it. The restaurant is amongst tightly knit apartments; there is a sign with a menu outside, but have to traverse a few flights of stairs to get to the entrance.
Parking-wise, in winter there's space to park literally outside the restaurant here in Camp de Mar, but in summer I anticipate that you'll be parking well up the road for perhaps a five minute walk unless you get lucky.
Firstly the restaurant is open in both summer and winter (winter is 19:00 - 22:00 weekdays and weekends which is when we went) and the waiters speak both English and Spanish fluently.
Secondly, the food is fantastic. Come here if you want to try something genuinely different - the food is all served in a variety of ways (from a fish hung upside down on a mini washing line with mini pegs to fish mixed with vegetables served in a shell atop a box of dry ice). The food is well cooked and delicious and the chef has some great recipes up his sleeve.
It wasn't too expensive either, more towards the 30 euros per person mark - five of us had a mixture of probably five or six different Tapas (of which the aforementioned dishes were included) and, apart from being absolutely stuffed by the end, had paid 180 euros (which included drinks and a bottle of red wine).
Flor de Sal is great for groups or romantic dinners; I'd say it's a pretty cosy restaurant seating maybe 50 at a completely arbitrary guess. We didn't have to book and I haven't before, but they do have a number on their website that you can call in case it gets busy in the summer.
All-in-all, definitely an experience to try at least once when you visit Camp de Mar, and I'm looking forward to returning next time I'm around here.
