The ambiance is what killed it for me. The lights are on super bright, there was 2 Bdays so there was a mariachi band that performed way too loud with bad speakers. I would recommend this place for a casual supper, definitely not for a date night. I would opt for take out if i was to go again.

We ordered the lunch special, which includes an appetizer, one of the main dishes from the lunch menu, and a juice or coffee. I had the fried calamari and the pollo saltado. Both were very good and served in decent portions. I wanted to try their suspiro de limeña, but unfortunately, even though it's listed on the menu, they didn't have it available. I opted for the tres leches cake instead it was tasty, just a bit too milky for my preference. Overall, I found the lunch pricing to be very fair, and everything we had was really good

Went here with my family for my birthday and we ordered family size trays. It was all good, I mean…read moreit was like it's supposed to be, typical Peruvian sea food restaurant with cancha (courtesy of the house) and here's the "catch" (get it?) the fish is actually Peruvian as well, as in they caught in the Pacific Ocean, from what I've heard. You might think, why do they do that, that's not fresh... Well, the fish there are more flavourful, bigger and just all-around better in quality (for the kind of fish that are used on those dishes, like if they needed salmon I'm sure they would just use the local ones). They had good prices and were really accommodating (considering there were a handful of kids around), it's probably a good place to go in groups. We had ceviche, jalea and other sea food from the menu (I mean, it has a Nautical theme going on so how could I not), but the real MVP was the lúcuma mousse dessert. So, so, so good, lúcuma is my favourite fruit and I had yet to go to a place where I found a lúcuma dessert that was worth it (*cough cough* Mochica) and this one is! I've moved really close to it so expect to see my face here more often. Looking forward to try that Leche de Tigre on hungover days!

Great service! Great ambiance!…read moreGREAT COCKTAILS! And strange food.. I had the chicken which was neither Chinese nor what I'd call Peruvian. It did not come with crispy rice, just steamed, and two little chicken thighs and some rice for 28 bucks seemed steep to me for the experience and how it felt in there. I didn't have but saw the ceviche being prepared and it looked pretty awesome so, maybe, this was just not to my taste. I would try again though, because it was interesting and the service made it awesome, even if just for a cocktail!
