Since it was our final night in Cannes and in France in general, me and my friend decided to go all…read moreout for our last meal. We got the full course meal for £28 and a bottle of pretty good Rosé for £22 to share. Both the food and the service were great. They were very nice in helping us choose to eat something since we speak little French. If we ever come back to Cannes (next two years maybe) we will be coming back here to try their other food.

We went back a second time in one day, tried new dishes, and was just as happy. And hats off to the owner who literally was the only waiter in the packed little restaurant and was serving the wine, making the espressos, bussing tables, taking orders, making desserts, speaking to each table a bit, having a wonderful attitude, and doing it all in good timing to all the satisfied customers. The chef himself even pitched in with helping serve, totally in sync with the owner. These two amazing guys totally changed my and my wife's perspective about how other restaurants are run - especially when tipping here is more of a courtesy and in the states many restaurants just add 18% on to your bill for gratuity regardless of the service you got. I left the owner just 10 euros and he was so thankful and graciously declined but promised he'd give it to the kitchen staff when we insisted that we just had to appreciate them with a tip. Unreal, awesome, classy, can't wait to return.

The outdoor setup has plenty of umbrellas, which helps with the direct sun. We ordered the calamari, and I had the Peach Me Up cocktail, it was deeeelicious! My biggest issue was the service. I specifically asked my waitress whether the chicken or sea bass was better, and she recommended the sea bass. However, my food came out as chicken. When I brought up our conversation, her response came across as unnecessarily rude, which definitely affected the rest of the service. One side turns into more of a party atmosphere around 3 PM. It's a little pricey to reserve a spot, but I'd still visit again for the atmosphere and overall experience!

I do agree it's as an overpriced, overcrowded daytime club rather than a quality dining destination. The food misses the mark on taste, presentation, served cold, and of course the high price. Service is alright but you can't blame them as they are doing a million things for so many tables all at once. They are getting your food and delivering bottle service at the same time. The best part about this is the transportation, best deal and sweet gesture for them to do for us. $29 per person to get to the restaurant and it runs smoothly since you need to arrange it ahead of time and getting there early is key to help them from falling behind. Overall, I feel it's overhyped but definitely a vibe you need to experience once while you're living your best euro-summer life in the south of France to ultimately be your own judge, cheers.
