This was an unexpected find. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The decorations might be considered kitschy by some but I thought it was wonderful, definitely makes the small restaurant charming and cozy. It is a great place for lunch though it filled up quickly on a Thursday. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're in a rush, though I definitely would not consider the service slow.
My friend and I both ate the Galette Tricorne, which was absolutely divine. I didn't expect it to have all kinds of fresh herbs on it (cilantro, basil...) and though I was skeptical it tasted delicious with the gift cheese, bacon, vegetables, walnuts and honey. The galette itself was perfect. They know how to cook and plate! The portion size was just right for me.
While waiting for our food to arrive, I was slightly jealous of all the oysters and moules served at neighbouring tables but my food was so good I had no regrets.
Our interaction with the staff was minimal but always very kind and welcoming.
I definitely will eat here again when I'm in the area and recommend to anyone! read more
