They…read moreasked for an Austrian phone number (since the number I was calling from was from the USA) so I gave them my hotels number, gave them the name of my hotel, along with the address. The moron on the phone repeated back to me the wrong address so I again corrected him and told him it was #12 on this particular street and NOT #10. He said delivery would be about 30 min (it was 9:20pm). At that time I went down to the lobby to hang out and meet the delivery guy when they got there because the front desk at our hotel (Eco-Suites) closes at 10pm. Well at 1015pm I called them back and they told me that they had supposedly gone to my hotel and spoke to the front desk clerk and gave them my name and room number and again supposedly the front desk clerk said that we were not registered at that hotel. I asked what address they went to and they said that they went to #10!!!!! Ugh!!! I said that I was at #12 and they said that they would not deliver because that address did not exist!! I then asked if I could just come and pick up a new order since my order was now over an hour old. He said yes. When I got there he still accused me of giving them an address that didn't exist. I pulled up google maps and showed him that it DID in fact exist. He handed over the pizzas and 2 orders of waffles. I opened the pizza boxes and the pizza was cold as well as the waffles. I asked why they didn't make new orders like I had asked and he said that "these are your pizzas from your order and not going to waste food because I made the error!!" Excuse me????!!!!!! Who made the error???? Dumb idiot!!!! Frustrated and needing to feed my family of 7 I was willing to take the food. I asked if I could get a discount for THEIR error and he again stated that it was my error and NO discount would be given!!!! ( the total bill was approx $48) I get that there is a language barrier when visiting these countries but Salzburg relies mostly on tourism. You'd think that in a situation like this they would put someone familiar with the English language on the phones etc. the pizza was nothing special, and the waffles were cold and hard. Such a disappointment considering we were really looking forward to having them for dessert. Think twice before ordering anything from these guys!!! You want a great pizza from a great guy that really cares about his customers go to Papa's Pizza just over the river. Much better pizza!!!!!!

Yelpers so…read morerecommended this place that we tried to go our first night in town, and were advised that it might be a 30 minute wait -- but the staff *also* told the 7 parties ahead of us that it might be a 30 minute wait for them, too. So we went elsewhere. We went back the next night at an off-hour and while the food was fine, I would have been highly disappointed had we waited in line for 30 minutes, let alone 2 or more hours. This restaurant has a prime location and a strong online reputation. And perhaps our experience was impacted by the fact that we went at an off-hour. Still, there are much better options, with equal character, available across the city. Consider branching out -- and check my other Salzburg reviews for other alternatives.

We came in around 5pm for an early dinner before our train back to Munich and was able to grab a table for 4. We got incredibly lucky because the restaurant really filled up and by the time we left, there was a long line down the block. Of course we had to have their Original Wiener Schnitzel, which was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also had a Salzburger Nockerl, which is a classic Austrian soufflé dessert that is considered a culinary symbol of Salzburg. You do have to order this about 20 minutes in advance, so we ordered it when we made our entree orders. This was really good and honestly, more than enough for our group of 4. I also highly recommend their house beer, which was one of the best beers I had during our 10 day trip.
