My party and I did not stay at the hotel, though we rode the cable car to the top of the alp and ate at the restaurant. We had just gone a 3 hr hike from Adelboden to Einstligen waterfall, very highly recommended btw. If you were to do the hike, it might not take as long as we were a group of 20, plus or minus.
They have the most amazing cocoa up here. It is steamed milk and this powdered (I know, right?) cocoa mix, the mix name started with a c I think... Anyways, if you are not watching your diet or just went on a 3 hr hike or are cold after a ski, get the cocoa and an order of french fries. The fries smelled like curry and had this amazing seasoning, served with mayo and ketchup, it was a bit confusing to me. There was still snow up atop Einstligen alp in mid May and a few folks were cross country skiing. Awesome! read more
