They have what I need. I love buying their sourdough bread and they're large pieces of meat that I can cut how I like it.

Are they trying to be cheap on labor? This is ridiculous. I come for a few items that they carry, but I HATE coming here. The attitude of the managers is awful and not helpful at all. The store itself is in ruins at the moment they are re-organizing, restructuring whatever however, this post is mainly due to the service and I'm not kidding when I say I saw one person legitimately working well about five others stood around, laughing gossiping doing whatever, but not working and then their current person deliberately put four big ass cards right behind my vehicle, making it seemingly difficult to pull out. Ladies at the desk in front of cashiers are the absolute worst and have very foul attitudes. The hate to be asked anything. And for that reason I come here as a last resort. We've been coming here for years, we own a restaurant in big bear, and have used Restaurant Depot as our supplier. I am very disappointed! Yesterday I was assaulted, and my car was broken into by two men with masks while I was in the car. I was trying to load up my truck and they are stealing the contents inside the truck. This has been a traumatic experience, and I would not recommend any woman to go there by herself. I have emailed the corporate office and I have yet to hear from them and probably won't. It took 2 1/2 hours to get a person there from the police department because Restaurant Depot would not call them. They said I had to after I dealt with a car trying to run me over with two men with masks on, after they had stole my purse. So yes, I am very irritated. And yes, I'm going to see if there is any retribution. This place has gone downhill slowly in the past few years. I try and park up front because that seems a little safer, but if you park in the back, I have seen many people with their car windows, smashed out, and the valuables stolen. The manager Tomas is honestly the worst possible manager. Hopefully things will settle down there but I doubt I'll be back. I would give it minus stars if I could. read more

Today I had the worse experience. A man that works there named Luis in the meat department was so rude to me. I asked him for help twice and he didn't acknowledge me at all. Then when I approached him and told him I asked him for help twice, he yelled at me and said he was busy with someone else. Which I understand that people are busy. My thing was, the acknowledgment of letting me know he would be right with me. Honestly he needs more training in customer service. I walked away and asked another gentleman for help which he did, then Luis came back running arguing with me in front of the other employee. I felt unsafe at that moment, he even made a remark "don't talk to me like you talk to your husband" yelled it in front of employees and clients. As a woman I will not allow a man to disrespect me. Poor customer service from the manager herself after she screwed up multiple times on my order and I told her I was running short on time after the third time she messed up. she messed up fourth and fifth and then condescendingly told me I hope you can have a better day now. On March 1 I ordered 75 hams from restaurant depot to fulfill a homeless and senior outreach with the town of Apple Valley and our church the first Assembly of God in Apple Valley. So last week Wednesday I got a confirmation again for the third time that our hams would be there on the 3rd or the 6th of April. Sunday morning April 2 I get up to get ready to go to church and I get a text from Luis who is a great guy that I've been working with and he tells me sorry we can't fill your order. Wow they really stressed me out, so I had to go hunting for hams a few days before Easter, and thank the Lord we were able to find them no help from Restaurant Depot so if you're planning something sorry I wouldn't order from them. read more

It is exactly what you would picture... a HUGE warehouse for all restaurants supplies. The meat section is pretty impressive. If you are able to get a membership here DO IT! however I am not sure how their prices fares up against like sysco or the other main suppliers. Do your homework for sure. I run a small charcuterie business and was referred to this location by a colleague. I dropped by to check it out before submitting the necessary documents to become a regular customer. There were alot of items to choose from. Paper goods, cooking/eating utensils and a large variety of foods. The store overall wasn't overly busy and was organized. They post samples above the items (plates, boxes etc.) to give you a visual of exactly what you would be buying. I thought this was a great idea bc seeing the size, shape and color in person is alot better than reading a description on a box. The downside was that alot of the items were missing these samples. Other than that the prices seemed decent and the selection of goods was large. Seems like a good option for shopping for a small business. read more

They just recently expanded the store towards the back and it's well organized (if you been there a few time you know where everything is at) The cashiers are very friendly and David at the liquor isle is very helpful. Just arrived only to see a long line outside the door. Was told they instituted a new maximum occupancy limit. On a Monday after a holiday weekend. They require you to wear masks inside, they sanitize the shopping carts, and there is only one customer allowed at each check out station. Those should be more than adequate COVID precautions. I understand the risk involved whenever I enter a big box store. To add another 30 minutes to an already frustrating shopping experience at Restaurant Depot is ridiculous. It seem Restaurant Depot has finally gave up. They don't have experience workers and the supervisor has let the place do whatever they want. The seafood department took two days off. I call to speak with the seafood department and was on hold for 40mins. I drove to the location still on hold and when I arrived the seafood section was empty no workers and the lady in front told me they took the day off. What is going on here. I had purchased a new BBQ from a dealer in the inland empire and asked if they knew of a place were you could purchased large cuts of meat for smoking, well this is the place. Not only do they have a meat locker, but produce, and utensils, and just about everything you need to run a restaurant. When you enter they ask if your a member, if not you need to fill out paperwork and have a resale number, no exceptions. But this place is like the BIG BROTHER of Costco. I purchased a 16lb brisket to smoke and it was FANTASTIC. They have everything including pots, pan, chef uniforms, all utensils, machinery, refrigeration, ice makers, paper products, wow. I understand they have several locations, so if you have a resale number and are planning a large party and serving food this is the place. read more

Went there on 06/24/21 the guys on the forklifts were very rude and constantly drove around the warehouse at unsafe speeds and thought it was funny. The cashier realized that one of my packages of shrimp was open asked one of her associates to exchange it and her response was to tell me to do it. So I just didn't purchase it! Got home opened my case of chicken drummets and the stench from the spoiled chicken turned my stomach.... returned them on the next day 06/25/21 the young lady in customer service never acknowledged my presence until I said something. She stated that she was filling orders when it was brought to her attention that she never acknowledged me. I asked her to get someone to help me then. Pulling into to Oliver street from Hunt one of the employees swerved from behind me ran the red light which was an arrow and went into the employee tan Kia Optima.... overall I'm. I completely disagree with comments about the service being terrible. Every time I go in and shop at this store someone approaches me with a smile on their face, ready and willing to help. In particular, I am impressed with Tommy, the manager. If I ever have an issue or am in need of a product, I can go to him and get results. I've been coming here for years it's just disappointing that there cashiers are always so rude and cranky . I never let that bother me but the other day it crossed the line . I was shopping the other day and there employees that drive those fort cliffs go so fast in the store I almost got ran over twice the other day while I was shopping 2 employees just laughed . Can you believe they didn't even apologize for almost hitting me? That's not the only thing that happened but the employee driving the fort cliff told his co worker "I should of ran her over ". That made me so hurt I left the store crying . I informed 2 mangers they said they'll address it to the employees but I actually hope they will because if someone gets hit they'll get really hurt . I'm really disappointed with how awful there employees are . They shouldn't be going that fast on those fort cliffs they should have common sense that there customers are shopping.
