At first I was hesistant to go here, after reading the other reviews I thought I might not really…read morefit here after a day on the world's largest industrial fair (HannoverMesse) and wearing a suit and tie... but I'd say this place welcomes everybody. Most importantly: delicious food! I had never tried Afghan food before (or let's say, knowingly went to a restaurant labeld that way), but as the other reviews already said: very good! When it comes to decoration I find it quite nice. They must have renovated and painted the whole thing recently, in comparison to the other reviews. Warm colors on the walls with matching carpets, well placed lamps, and candles on the tables. What I liked was the differentiation of seatings: a slightly dark area where you sit on the floor on traditional carpet, two tables next to that suitable for romantic couples, a larger area with tables for 4-6 guest, and a slightly elevated part with translucent roof so it's quite bright. So you can find your level of either traditional, romance, just-meeting-friends or business meeeting. In addition there is also an outdoor seating area which I assume to be nice in summer time (it was around 6 °C so no wonder it was empty outside). The staff actually was very helpful (though not boasting with smiles and friendly emotion). I told the waitress it's my first time in this restaurant and I don't know any of the dishes, so she asked my preferences and gave me a recommendation. Which I have to say was really good (see picture)! By the way, for a restaurant they have a quite broad selection of nice cocktails, with happy hour 8-9 pm every day, and an additional late happy hour Fridays and Saturdays from 12-01am - all cocktails for 5 Euro only.

I miss this restaurant. My favorite dish is their is the lamb and lentils in borani rice. I remember this place as it if was yesterday, it is that good and that cool. There's a laid back atmosphere, so kick back enjoy some peppermint tea and converse with your friends while you wait for your meal. This restaurant is hidden away from the center of the city, behind an alleyway on one of the main streets. You need to walk through the alley, all the way to the end, and the restaurant is to your left. When the weather is great and outdoor seating is open, you can chill by their little garden there and enjoy your meal; otherwise, the rustic decor in the restaurant will hypnotize you. When I lived in Hannover, this was always my favorite place to go. I've eaten here numerous times over and over again, and the food does not disappoint if you are looking for an ethnic flair.

The meat was very tender and delicious. This is a review for pick up. We called around 5pm to place the order and could pick it up at 6:45pm (the earliest possible time from calling at 5pm.
