The food here was exceptional! Like your other typical Mediterranean dishes, this didn't differ much other than their attention to detail. All their offerings, from their appetizer plates with dips and fresh veggies, to their rice and breads that were complimentary to the other foods to their meats, they did not take any shortcuts. The service, considering how extremely busy they were on a Wednesday night, was second to none. They explained the dishes well, they checked up on a timely manner and they delivered the food to table in an efficient timeframe given the circumstances. I loved this place! I was in Hannover for a trade show and we just walked around one evening looking for a place to eat & found AL-DAR. It's a Syrian restaurant with a really great atmosphere. It was Saturday night and most of the people were fairly dressed up, but they made us feel completely welcome even in jeans and a tee shirt. We ordered the Mezzo for 2 and it was more than we could eat. The quality of food was great and the service was great! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. Slightly on the pricey side, that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. read more

Our great colleagues in Hanover told us to go for dinner in this Syrian restaurant. It was much bigger than I expected but that did not preclude them from serving an excellent meal. Excellent. Pretty standard middle eastern menu, but deliciously executed. I had the Trip Through Syria grill meal and everything was great. Not overly priced. Wuite reasonable actually. Would recommend a reservation as it was very busy but we were sat within minutes without a reservation. read more
