We stayed to also have dinner, at which point we were waited on by different staff which was a lot more professional, but still not 'great'. Drinks had before dinner were OK, but nothing special. Food we had for dinner was good but also not earth-shattering. As someone stated elsewhere: this restaurant clearly exists mostly due to its most excellent location and views.

If you join them, you're unlikely to regret your decision. I was at Le Débarcadère for over three hours recently: a large group of us had a fine evening of discussion, drink and eating. Our wines were the Dézaley Chemin de Fer Grand Cru 2012 Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Lavaux (see http://www.massy-vins.ch/order/index.php?module=produit&prd_id=16) and a Gigondas whose details I cannot recall. The Dézaley was a great pleasure, but the Gigondas was really forgettable, at least in my humble opinion. In order to have appropriate exposure to the two wines, I ordered a rouget-based salad as a starter (see photo) and a braised lamb shank (souris d'agneau) as my main dish. I thought that the salad was pretty successful as a culinary composition. The souris was no great shakes: the meat was dry and tasteless, and the accompanying vegetables (diced zucchini, carrots and other items) had nothing special going for them. Our group ordered lots of desserts, but I refrained from dessert contact. On the other hand, my fellow diners seemed pleased with what came their way; we all left in good spirits.

If you were looking for a steakhouse in Lausanne, this is the place you want to try for sure. The…read morerestaurant-café located in Prilly has fresh meat from the butchery next door. They have huge selection of meats going from Pork, Horse, Beef but you also have some Seafood and Pasta selection. Atmosphere 3/5: This is a typical café restaurant Swiss style. Nothing over the top or fancy, this place is more a stop and go for the truck drivers as well. The place is a clean place to eat tho. They have a bar section as well and a terrasse outside. Food 5/5: I think this is one of the prime spot for Steakhouse lovers. The meat served are quiet big as you can see on the pictures and they serve it with 3 different kind of sauces; Café de Paris, Pepper sauce or Mushroom sauce. I read that if you ask for a sample of all 3 of them, they would bring it with no extra charge. The fries are good as well. The salad is alright, nothing over the top but you can feel that everything is fresh there. Service 3/5: The service was alright. They were nice to accept us at 1.45pm on a Saturday but we sometimes had some trouble to get in touch with our waitress. The service was fast tho, we were served food quickly and everything went smoothly. In conclusion, if you're a steak lover, give it a shot! The price isn't excessive at all and the price/quality is pretty good for what you're getting. A horse entrecôte is 24 CHF which includes a Green salad as well.

Looks not very fancy, but what a terrific meat! Good choice…read moreof wines. You won't regret visiting this restaurant.
