Well I was staying at the hotel (the same building) and had a go at dinner as well. As I've already explained i don't care about service, I care about the food. A clean interior is always a plus but if the food is good I'd eat it in a uclean restaurant too.
This beeing said, the staff was smiling and the place was spotless.
Now over to the food. The menu was rather short, no fault in that (it's better to do a few items to a high standard than having alot of items done to a bad standard) but if say for instance that you don't like pasta but wanted chicken, then you're out of luck. Now I spotted the Bouillabaisse and knew that was going to be my dinner.
Now when it arrived it looked smashing, a right gem - but when it came to actually eating it, my nerves began to tremble. It is ok to think about presentation of the dish, it is acceptable to create something pleasing to both Eye and mouth - but to serve mussles in the Shell, whole shrimp, large lumps of carrot and potatoe with only a spoon. That's not nice, it's down right cruel. If I order a steak I do want to eat the steak and if I order a seafood soup I expect to be able to eat the seafood. The broth was salty and the charred bread was a nice touch.
Now considering the price I'm willing to give it 3 out of 5 but if it had been more expencive I'd lost all hope. read more
