On a spontaneous overnight to Kalmar, Sweden from Copenhagen in December between Christmas and New Years - we were lucky to find Larmgatan 10. Located in the charming downtown walking distance from the train station and our hotel (Slottshotellet Kalmar) nearby. Able to accommodate our party of 7 with picky teens and pre-teens, there were many options on their menu. The food was delicious and vegetables were fresh and service was charming. I can recommend the fish and hot place steak dishes. A real steak, cooked medium rare - a rarity in Scandinavia. Not cheap, but nothing is when eating out in Sweden. (or Denmark or Norway.) Everyone in our group was happy with their meal. read more
