We were looking for a place that would satisfy both the husband's picky palate and my snobby preferences..and this was it! We walked over from the Gothia Towers and hoped to get a table around 7:30 on a Saturday night. Even though they were packed, the bartender/server was so accommodating and promised that if we took a seat at the bar for a drink and appetizer that he would get us a table by the time we were on our entrees.
The restaurant was small but beautifully decorated and filled with comfortable high top booths and lovely lighting. Each table had romantic intimate candlelight. We enjoyed a glass of wine and a delicious charcuterie board with cheese, olives, and a variety of salami and prosciutto. The bartender kept us taken care of until a table opened up in one of the high top booths.
For dinner the husband ordered the gnocchi which he absolutely loved. My gluten free rabbit and mushroom pasta was delicious and the gf pasta was cooked perfectly. Even though I was so miserable I couldn't even imagine taking another bite of anything..we obviously ordered dessert. The raspberry panna cotta was a work of art and fantastic.
We loved our meals, enjoyed flawless service, and had a beautifully intimate evening. Luckily this place was in walking distance of our hotel because it was easily one of our favorite meals of the trip. read more
