I asked the Nurse Practitioner for a referral to a specialist for a second opinion regarding my health condition. In response, she jumped to her feet, stomped out of the examination room in what I call a, "back-arching, foot-stomping, teenage tantrum". Passing the receptionist she shouted, "We're no longer treating HER for that health condition!" I was confused by her behavior. It was as though I had committed adultery. A few days later I discovered she retaliated by cutting off all of my medication (which had been authorized by my insurance company for a further 9 months). Without the medication, I was almost dysfunctional, losing more than 5 days of activity. In desperation I called to apologize. It was humiliating. When my prescription was finally available, 13 days later, I realized I didn't need it any more. I refuse to be manipulated by a health professional who dangles medication over her patient's heads in an effort to exert control. BE WARE! read more

Dr. Everett Trevor is so knowledgeable and he has a beautiful "bedside manner". He makes the process of being diagnosed with sleep apnea easy. His staff is very professional and caring. The office is pleasant and really calming. The accommodations for spending the night for the sleep study are really nice. The beds are very comfortable and everything was very clean. The whole process was handled very well from first appointment. I highly recommend this doctor and his entire office. read more

I am sorry, but when a test is performed, especially a high tech one such as a sleep study, I think it is reasonable to expect that the doctor would go over the results with the patient before making a recommendation. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Dr. Trevor. I received a call from his office telling me that the results were positive and that they wanted to schedule me for the follow-up (which would determine the appropriate C-PAP settings for me). When I requested a prior consult with the doctor to get an explanation of the results, I was told that he was so busy that they couldn't schedule an appointment with him for me and that they would call me when the doctor had an opening. The impression I have is that this office isn't really concerned about providing patient-centered healthcare, but in providing services they can bill for. I am very disappointed in Dr. Trevor's practice and frankly, I don't expect that I will ever hear from them again (I'll let you know if I do). read more

Dr Trevor is rude and ignorant. Kept repeating information that I was telling him back to me like I was an idiot. Told me that my daughter needed to quit eating so many snacks because she is overweight right in front of her and made her cry after we left. He tossed a piece of paper at the receptionist and made her knock over the phone as she was trying to catch it. Very unprofessional. Rest of the staff is nice. Jan 2018 BEWARE!! DO NOT GO TO DR TREVOR! Heather, the Scheduler and Abby, other staff are rude, snotty, unprofessional, sneering, cold and blatantly lie. Even with an emergency situation, they insist that they have no openings to be seen. I have read complaints like mine in several places On the Internet. My husband actually heard how rudely Heather talks to me, because I always use speaker phone so he can listen and take notes for me. 6 months ago I called to request an appointment due to problems with my C-Pap machine. HEATHER told me they're booked up for EIGHT months. I told her my C-Pap machine is defective and I can't breathe properly. I also said that I have serious heart problems and that my Cardiologist says I may die unless my C-Pap machine gets repaired NOW. Heather coldly stated they can't see me any sooner than 8 months away, but they get cancellations every week, so she'll call me for the next one. After two weeks she had still not called me, so I called back. She said the same thing, but hung up on me. I've called every two weeks for 5 months and she always lies and says she will call me in the next week because they get cancellations every week. However, she has never called me and she hangs up on me when I call to beg to be seen. Now it is 6 months later, but she has still not allowed me to see Dr Trevor. She also refuses to allow me to talk to the Doctor or Nurse Practitioner on the phone. She doesn't care if I go into Cardiac Arrest and die. read more

I had a sleep study done at Resta the office was great. My appointment was very informative. When i arrived at the office the night of my study the tech took me back and put in a very nice room was just like being in a hotel.Then she hooked me up and explained what she was doing. I feel asleep and woke the next morning. She offered me coffee and explained that it took about two weeks for the results. I would have a family member or friend come to see Dr.Trevor and his staff any time they were Great. read more

I had an appointment for this evening 6/26/20 and with the corona virus spiking in Shasta county, I decided to cancel. The lady didn't even give me a chance to explain why, she just said "ok well there's a $250 fee for canceling, would you like to put that on a credit card or"? At that moment I somewhat politely told her how ridiculous that was and that I wont be coming back. Her reply was " ok well I'll turn this over to the supervisor." LMAO What, did she think she was going to scare me with the supervisor. I thought this was a nice place, polite friendly people etc. but obviously, there are two heads to every coin and just like the rest of the country, they're all looking for a way to line their pockets. Pitiful. Update: They just called me back to let me know that they aren't going to bill me for the cancellation but that I need to check with my primary physician to find a different sleep study place. Unbelievable gall of these people. Covid-19 is running amok in Shasta County and that was my reason for wanting to reschedule and they fire me from the clinic !? Seriously, I have never in my life dealt with a doctors office that was so unprofessional and frankly, I was not planning to go back to them any way. Stay away from Resta Sleep Disorders Center and Dr. Trevor! He was rude and cussing throughout my initial appointment with him and refused to accept my sleep study (3 months old) from the nationally recognized sleep doctor where I used to live. He simply wanted to bill my insurance for another sleep study then charged me more than my co-pay and is refusing to refund the difference that he is contractually obligated to. Now his staff claims that he has "too many patients" and they can't get me in for my results. He shouldn't be taking new patients if he can't handle the ones he has now. That is called patient abandonment and is against the law. read more

Was told I had a year to complete the study, wildfire season came and I couldn't get down to Redding from Mt Shasta, was called last minute saying I had to schedule this week or they'd cancel my order. Asked to speak with a manager--waste of time. No care whatsoever to obtain another authorization despite her office's miscommunication because it is too much work for her. read more

I was having trouble staying awake during the day so I was referred to Dr. Trevor for a sleep study. I arrived in the early evening and was setup with a really nice room with a private bathroom and a TV (just like a normal bedroom). The technician set me up and I went to bed shortly thereafter. It turns out I had horrible sleep apnea and they had to wake me up early to put a machine on me to see if I could acclimate to it. I slept great the rest of the night. I woke up around 6 in the morning and headed home. The staff set me up with an appointment two weeks later where I met with Dr. Trevor and they showed me the results of the study. Dr. Trevor and his staff were very helpful and friendly. I felt like I was family. If you find that you are having troubles staying awake during the day or on long drives I recommend you see Dr. Trevor and the staff at Resta to see if they can help you! read more

My wife was having sleep problems in mid September so we made an apt at Resta Sleep disorder center in Redding. After the initial consult with Dr Trevor, we scheduled for a sleep study that same evening and immediately paid the entire amount (about $800, yeah I know, ouch). They did let me stay in one of the unused rooms for they have extras for family members because some patients are obviously anxious. We were instructed by staff and Dr Trevor the results of the sleep study would take about two weeks to be completed. We never heard from the clinic so instead my wife called a month later and scheduled an appt so WE could both go in and find out about the results (sleep apnea ?). The second appt was scheduled for mid November on a SUNDAY. REALLY? The next thing we know is that the clinic got In contact with my wife and canceled the appt saying that the Dr could not make it- too busy. (TOO BUSY TAKING PEOPLES MONEY!!) They rescheduled our appt for mid January. What upsets me is that they were not too busy to take our $800 in a second but feel that we should have to wait 1/3 of an entire year to get the results of a sleep study that they recommended my wife participate in. I feel that I was a victim of (THEFT BY DECEPTION) because I have not received what I paid for in a timely manner. We went for possible health reasons to a (DOCTOR?) who was quick to take our money but who has failed to follow through with their part of the deal. If this were the OLD WEST, I would take care of it myself as though they were cattle rustlers, but alas, that is not the case.
