Disconnected the one tank and drove over from the RV park that we were staying at. Pulled up to the refill station and called from the intercom located nearby at the dump station. An attendant came out shortly and refilled my tank. Gave me a ticket to take to the cashier in the store to pay for the fuel. I recommend Arrowhead Travel Plaza for your propane needs. They came through for us and we had heat for a cold night in the thirties. Price for the propane was very reasonable too.

The sign shows food vendors that don't exist. Food on offer looks stale, & after seeing the bathrooms you know they're not washing their hand while making it. In their coffee shop, half their menu isn't even available, and it wasn't even noon yet. There is no chicken place nor taco shop, nor pizza place, it's all just slapped together in one place, looking like a school cafeteria. Horrific misrepresentation of a TA Travel Center.

This particular rest stop in Baker Valley has a gorgeous view of the valley just before the start of the Blue Mountains. Much of it is still rural farmland, you can't help but look out and think about the pioneers that passed through and eventually settled this land. Amazing! I also like that Oregon has put in mini museums or interpretive stands at many of the rest stops. The one here has pictures and stories about the pioneers that came west on the Oregon Trail wagon trains. Very interesting to read and learn more about the area. Amenities wise: this rest stop has all the standard things you'd expect: bathrooms, water, vending machines with snacks, picnic tables, etc. We've stopped here several times over the years and generally find everything clean and in good working order.

The highway road sign says one name but when you actually park at the Mini mart it says 1 stop market. So when I was inside I just asked them at the counter which 1 was the actual name. The owner manager said to me what's with all the questions? OK I'm not shopping here. I left.

As i was resting, some towing truck banged on my door stating I was not allowed to park here. I explained that my hours had ran out, and i needed to wait until they reset. He argued back saying I had to find a different spot as this was a "no truck stop". Very inconvenient, this location needs to change and remove "truck stop" off of it.

We had stopped one exit before and were welcomed by racists and shotguns lol, so initially showing up we were already scared. Someone at the bar close by knew the owner and gave her a call. She showed up in ten minutes and helped us with gas and lavatories and snacks. We drive by occasionally and look forward to coming here again.
