Despite all the medications and attempts to follow the program for eating I was practically bedridden for 3 months. The balloon was visible sticking out of my abdomen. I was nauseous with back pain the entire time. I had difficulty drinking and eating with no relief. I felt as though it was over inflated with the pain in my back. The procedure was six thousand dollars!! The nutritionist was no help as there was something mechanically wrong. Three months into it I was rushed to the ER dehydrated with pancreatitis. I am a registered nurse and do not recommend this to anyone. Also there is no refund or compensation when this happens. I had the balloon in for 3 months and had to have it removed due to the pancreatitis from the pressure of the balloon on my pancreas. Six thousand dollars and all I lost was muscle and money. Think twice about this procedure.

i wish i could give 0 stars! do not get involved with this place. i cant say anything bad about the…read moredr i had my consultationwith, but everything else has been a nightmare. they gave me a folder of procedures and approved doctors im supposed to see. i dont want this to be a novel but several doctors i contacted did not take my insurance or werent taking new patients. this has been going on for 6 months! i had endoscopy colonoscopy, cardiac and pulminary exams, psychotherapist appt. all cleared me. the last step is nutritionist. sick of the inept people in the office, i contact the office manager directly and she seemed nice but provided a wrong number and then a dietician who did not take my ins. i find snother dist, it took 2 tries to get the referral she needed. then she , from , hRtford healthcare) said she doesnt know if she takes my ins and its my job to contact them and ask if she takes it!!! i swear im not making this up!!!but no problem, after the appts she will just send me a bill . what kind of dr doesnt know what ins they take??? its the first ques they ask when u call to make an appt. i call nybg office mgr again and she says she spoke to dietician and she takes my ins. i call to confirm and get no reply for 3 days. Dietician tells nybg mgr yes and me , the patient no! We are talking about $800 worth of appts , i think its fair that i want to hear it directly from her! i finally tell office mgr to please get me an appt in a week or give me my records and ill go elsewhere. rather than even try , the next day the office manager, who couldnt handle a paper route let alone a busy medical practice, sends me release forms so i can get my records! game over! she said she never had issues like this before!!! dont believe it, sure things go wrong and mistakes happen but 20 ??dragging this mess out over 5 months???! the doctors need to seriously clean their front of house out!!! and yes this is the shortest version i could write. its actually way worse!!!! do not do it! call another group!!! im going to try griffin if i can get my records!
