I like that they have co-mingled recycling as it all goes into one barrel and you do not have to sort it. They also have area for scrap metal (appliances, AC units, etc) ; brush (leaves, branches, and yard waste); TV's and monitors ($5 charge); and waste motor oil. $15 gets locals an annual window stick for unlimited entry. Big items and furniture requires a "bulkie coupon" which you get 3 per year. They do not accept construction waste at this time.

I bring in the clear bags they will provide, {sometimes they can be on the sticky side}. Always double check the eligibilty and count for accuracy and provide them with a written count of cans, plastic and glass. Just a little prep beforehand, and it all goes very smoothly. There are three different people I have dealt with there and if you establish trust with them, it can be a satisfying experience.

I got a message that I would get a confirmation by phone or email that day. By 4:30pm, I had no confirmation, so I called and was told (without ever being asked for my name, or any other identifier) that he had no order for a dumpster from me. I questioned how he would know this without ever asking for the name of the person calling, and he just chuckled. I was kind of surprised by his attitude so I said I would just take my business elsewhere; now he wanted to know when I needed the dumpster, etc. I said that I had wanted it for the next day, but I assumed at that point, it was too late. He asked what community I was calling from, and when I told him, he just said "hmmmmmm". I have no idea what he meant by that - is my city too far away, or not upscale enough for him? What he said to me next (in an annoyed tone of voice) was what really got me upset - "Well, it would be really tight. You know, some people just want to ruin their whole weekend spending it trying to fill one of those silly things up....." I was literally speechless at that moment. I'll admit, I was already a bit sensitive about the whole project since my dad had recently passed away, and I was not looking forward to the task of tossing all of his yard things and unfinished projects into a dumpster, but why would someone ever say something like that to a prospective customer??? Most people ONLY have the weekend to do house projects because they work all week long, and besides, according to the website, you get the dumpster for two weeks, so why would he assume I was going to "ruin my weekend". What I think is that I was going to ruin HIS weekend by having the dumpster delivered on a Friday afternoon (which, by the way, is considered a WEEKDAY and I'm pretty sure that most businesses have Friday as a working day.) Anyway, I was appalled at how he treated me, and just wanted to give fair warning before anyone attempts to do business with Progressive Disposal........especially for a "weekend" dumpster delivery.
