I spoke with Aaron who was friendly, personable and very helpful on the questions I had about the service. I needed a quote quickly so he told me to take several pictures of what needed to be picked up and he would respond with a proposal. Fifteen minutes later he gave me a price and we had a deal. Two days later two gentlemen showed up with a truck and hauled it all away. The folks that picked up called before they arrived, were friendly, got to work right away and within ten minutes my driveway was clear. The job was done promptly and professionally with no fuss. I'm super impressed with the staff as well as the service! Thanks to the great team at Project Scraps!

When I called the gentleman I spoke to was very polite and helpful explaining the pricing and details around pickup. He explained they would come assess the amount of junk and give us an estimate and there was no obligation to use them. Following the phone call I received a follow up text asking me to confirm my appointment. At this point I was very happy with my interactions with this company. Then on Monday I received a voice message from Melissa asking me to call back about my appointment. When I called back she was unavailable and was told she would call me back. After she did not return my call I called back and was able to speak with her. She asked if I could possibly reschedule my appointment. I was hesitant to change the appointment as we were moving and needed all of our junk to be off sight by Thursday. She said I would hear from her boss, Aaron, the owner who was trying to figure out their scheduling issue. Aaron texted me and asked if I had pictures of what I needed picked up. I responded that I did not as we have already moved off property. I explained that when we made our appointment we were assured that they would look at everything and provide an estimate. I explained what we needed hauled away, but also explained that I am not in the profession of hauling junk and had a hard time guesstimating how much space in the truck we would need. He explained that they were having difficulty and needed to reschedule for Wednesday between 10-noon. I explained that this made me very uncomfortable because we were moving and needed to have the premises cleaned out by Thursday. Aaron assured me that they would be there no problem on Wednesday. Again I received a text confirmation of my appointment and confirmed with the company. Wednesday came and around 11 feeling a little uncertain they were coming I called Aaron's phone that went straight to voicemail. So I called the company line and spoke with Samantha who assured me the truck would be on the way. They had three stops before us, but we're on their way. At noon I decided to call again and was told they would reach back out after calling the truck. In response I received a text message from Patrick saying that his truck had broken down the night before and he would be unable to make it to my home. If this is not unprofessional I do not know what is. I would be very wary of this company and the false sense of security they provide when you confirm an appointment with them.

I am sorry to have to write this review. I hired Eric at Junk Junk Baby in Rowley to clean out my…read moreaunt's house in Lynn in 2016. Great job, fair price. I hired JJB again in 2020 to clear out the basement in my parents' house in Reading. In October this year I called them again to see if they would come to West Roxbury to do a condo cleanup for a friend moving to assisted living. Eric remembered me and agreed to take the job. I was pleased. I uploaded pictures of every room as well as the roof deck, storage closet, and garage. JJB knew in advance there was an elliptical machine in one of the bedrooms. On October 21, two young men came in a big truck to do the job. They worked hard. But they came without any tools. I had to go to my home two miles away to get some tools. When they finally got to the elliptical, they didn't know the proper way to take it apart. So they proceeded to struggle to get the heavy, awkward machine down two oak staircases and onto the truck. The last task was taking the patio furniture from the roof deck. Of course it was wet and I had to clean up the water. It was then I noticed that the two garage door openers were missing. They searched the truck and found one. They said they'd search the truck later for the other one. I wrote a check for $2000. And they departed. It was only after they left (with my having given them generous tips) that I noticed they had taken the central vacuum hose, which I specifically told them to leave in the closet. They also took the gas fireplace remote which clearly had been put aside. And then I noticed they had taken a box of U-Haul wrapping paper and two large unused rolls of tape I had purchased at U-Haul. (These were not junk!) Later the condo trustee called me to say the elliptical machine had left a deep gouge on the common hallway floor as well as a chip in the edge of a stair. They also left a mess in the stairwell which I returned to clean that same evening. I called JJB the next day to inform them about the gouges in the floor, and was told Eric was out of town doing debris removal in North Carolina but would get back to me when he returned. I have been calling JJB once or twice a week only to be told that I will receive a call back to discuss restitution. It is now six weeks later--no follow-up. Clearly this is not the same company I hired in 2016 and 2020.
