Great service here. This place is open 24 hours and was able to check my car at night. Prices were transparent and fair.

So here is the thing: U wait too long and your car issue is not getting better ..the opposite is…read moretrue? Yeah, right. Like with my break pads?...oh boy! Had a hard time deciding where to get it done. My usual place, pepboyz, where no good. Didn't had the parts, didnt look to confident to fix a BMW..So I yelped my issue. Metropolitan and a few other places quoted me for a price. Actually I didn't choose him at first because others had more reviews. But after some due diligence on their reviews, talking with some on the phone or reviewing their web presence...these mechanics didn't look any more confident to me either. So I gave Vinty at Metropolitan a shot. At least the reviews he had were positive and his self bio read itself nice and assuring. I text with him back and forth about the costs. I had specific parts I wanted to be used on the car. He got it all figured out and quoted me for a really fair price. I said to my self what the hek, I gotta get it done. Can't put it off any longer. So I got an appointment with him super fast, no fuss. Showed up first thing in the morning. Mechanic puts my car on the lift and starts working wheel by wheel. I had a good feeling. Little shop, no funny attitudes. Vinty comes in a little latter, we talk, great conversation about everything and nothing. Real nice. His mechanic walks in, we have a problem..I'm like: oh boy here we go. We walk to the car. Shows me the front rotor on the wheel. Bad. Needs to be replaced. Worn down break pad ruined the rotor. Guess why.. yeap u guessed right: because I waited too long and drove on bad break pads even though my car kept prompting me to change them ASAP. So of course the promised cost now all of a sudden got much higher..not the mechanics fault. Not Vinty's fault but mine. I was there when he negotiated the replacement parts with his supplier. Yes a place like this needs to have profit from its doing..yes they always try to get the max doable...buy this place, Metropolitan, Vinty was really fair. The added on labor, parts, plus what was already done..all in all it hurt me too spent that much..more than original thought, but that only was because I waited too long to attend the original issue. Let this be a lesson to you. Don't wait around too long. Go see Vinty. Fair and honest in my opinion. What needs to get done needs to get done. The price is always fair. But if ur car reveals more than anticipated..its not the mechanics fault. And with these guys here..they don't take advantage of you should when an opportunity presents itself to up-sell, like at those fancy city garages that shark you out of any penny you've got left (been there, had that). Again, what needs to get done needs to get done. Don't wait on it. At least here you can rest assured. In all honesty, I'm happy I gave this shop a shot. - Sid

I manage company with 4 trucks. After reading Vinty's good reviews I decided to try Metropolitan…read moreAuto Service. Vinty is Metropolitan's owner. He was curious, clear and so far, has been honest. I am GM for a Mike's Air Conditioning Which uses the same for service vehicles for Air Vent Medics, our other company. To say the least we need these trucks in running order all the time. Our previous mechanic was unreliable. After resolving issues expediently, professionally, and at a fair price our 2nd truck is with Metropolitan. He's not only diagnosed & resolved issues on 2nd truck. He's obtaining certain parts used that are unnecessary to be new which was logical in that case. I agreed & will get this needed, revenue-worthy vehicle ASAP; I'm confident in him. I plan to update Yelp members & others to final jobs on all 4 vehicles. I have much much automotive experience myself & so far Vinty has been more than reasonable, intelligent & quite a decent mgr of this repair shop.

Amazing jobs and miracles are done here! :]…read more I've gotten to know the family over the course of Winter when I purchased when my new car. They do an amazing job and prices are much less than average mechanic prices in Queens and NY in general. They will never try to sell you anything which you do not need! I personally felt that mechanic shops were very sketchy, but this is one of those which prove them wrong. They do nearly everything, from replacing tires, changing bulbs, to even complex jobs as re-coding Mercedes cars. I've done various jobs here, Replacing all car speakers with 3 way speakers. Had them install projector headlights onto my old Accord 03 coupe. Install an Injen Intake, recolor my brake clippers to red, replacing my stock springs with TEINS to drop the car. All jobs were pretty much done a much lower price than I was quoted by other places, and online websites. Junior has probably worked on my car the most, and every time I ask him to modify or add something to the car, he takes his times and does things in a very neat fashion which appeals to the car owner and others in a positive way. I highly suggest you visit this place if you have any problems or even any modifications which you may wish to do to your car! I tend to stop by here often, mainly when I'm hitting the gym close to this establishment! They are very kind people! Tell them that you read a YELP comment by Kumar and came here and they may chuckle, or at least 'Junior', Mr Shaw's son will! You may even get a special Yelp Discount? :P Who knows!

All I can say is THANK YOU MR. KHAN!!!!!!!…read more For a couple of weeks my car was making an awful sound whenever I drove it over bumpy roads. I decided to take my car to one shop around my house on Long Island to see what the problem was. After a few minutes of looking under the hood, the guy came back and told me it would cost $462 to fix. Not trusting his quote, I turned to Yelp. I saw the reviews for Khan's Auto Repair and decided to give them a call. Mr. Khan answered the phone, and there was just something about they way he sounded that made me trust him right away. I took my car in the very next day and Mr. Khan was able to tell me what the issue was and how much it was going to cost to fix it. So guess how he quoted me..............$55 dollars. I couldn't believe it, I was ready to spend a lot more than that. After my car was fixed, Mr. Khan offered to take me on a test drive to see if the noise still existed, and the noise was gone. What impressed me the most, is that Mr. Khan took his time and explained everything to me. I got the impression that he wasn't out to take my money, but was genuinely trying to help me. This is the only place I will be taking my car for repairs from now on.
