I will be generous with this review and give ReNuYou 4 stars, as this form of therapy has helped my 19 year old son. He is now functioning as normal 19 year old again. He's smiling and carrying on good conversations again. Neurofeedback works!! His first brain mapping showed he was going back & forth between depression and anxiety. They said the standard was 20 sessions, so we agreed. What she did NOT tell us was that for the entire 20 sessions, they would only work on the anxiety! So after his 2nd brain mapping, we were told they now needed to work on his depression ($$$$) for another 20 sessions!! My question was why were they not doing 10 on depression and 10 on anxiety, since he was struggling with both! They asked me to put a credit card on file for "incidentals" like supplements, nutritionist. They scheduled a meeting with my son & I for the following Tuesday to review the 2nd brain mapping, but called him at 3:40 on the Thursday before telling him they could see him at 4:00. They did not call me to meet him there. After this meeting, they told him he needed another round of 20 more sessions! They told him my credit card was on file, so he said okay. At no point did they call me and ask my permission to charge $$$$ my card. They took advantage of my 19 year old son, who is not an authorized user on my credit card. That charge was a lot more than an "incidental"! The people at ReNuYou need to remember that they are not the only neurofeedback center in town...

However, it is my duty to make sure fellow yelpers and future patients of this place know what I've personally experienced so they can be aware too. If you choose to seek help from crossroads, know that their are great therapist here and REALLY bad ones too. I've experienced condescending, rude and careless providers here. The communication between staff and providers seems obsolete at times. I won't go into too much detail with what happened but I will tell you who you can trust at Crossroads. Laura Fite and Kaitlin Hiddle! They are awesome providers!! Both of them are empathetic, understanding and will care for your well being. During this time, I've been assigned three different therapists, two left the practice so I was just assigned a third. Each transition required starting over and re-explaining deeply personal history, which is emotionally exhausting and counterproductive in a therapeutic setting. To make matters worse, my insurance 100% covered all previous sessions with the first two therapists. However, after being assigned to a third therapist, I was not informed ahead of time that this provider was out of network. I only found out after the session that I was being charged $175 out of pocket. Had I been informed beforehand, I would not have scheduled or attended the appointment. So once again, I spent an hour opening up to a new therapist only to find out it's going nowhere because my insurance won't cover future sessions Lack of transparency around insurance coverage, combined with CONSTANT therapist turnover, shows a serious breakdown in communication and continuity of care. Therapy requires trust and consistency, and unfortunately Connect and Restore has failed to provide either. I would strongly caution others to confirm insurance coverage and be prepared for frequent provider changes.
