I've had many counselors over the years. All of them used "talk" therapy. We still talk, but she has given me tools that while not new to me, their use under Linda's instructions has produced tangible relief and the ability to diffuse anxiety. If you have been struggling with any form of PTSD, and counseling to date has not helped, I highly recommend an initial consultation. Good luck. Hang in there.

This place used to be Hahn Psyc. Please, BEFORE going here do a thorough background search on these…read morepeople! Google Jacob Hahn and Hahn Psyc (currently called Modern Mental Health) and search the Oklahoma Court Docket Database (it is free). I saw Stacy Gibbs here for 13 months. It turned out to be a horrible experience. I was going through an extremely stressful time in my life and was having problems coping with everything. Stacy was trying to teach me Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). It was an absolute nightmare. 1) After several months, of DBT not working and being unable to figure it out. I asked repeatedly for a different therapeutic approach. Stacy ignored me, blatantly disregarded my wishes & what was best for me (the saying "Do No Further Harm" comes to mind) and kept trying to do DBT. I am not sure that she knows any other type of therapy. 2) I became very frustrated and wanted to stop therapy. Stacy would not let me stop (told me she would say I was a danger to myself & have me committed if I stopped); and repeatedly refused to transfer me to someone else even after it became clear I was getting worse not better (she said no one else could handle me)! 3) DBT requires a commitment from both the therapist & the client. It also consists of "coaching" so the therapist tells you all the time to "let them know if you have any problems" or "if you need a phone call". There are several problems with this: 1) Stacy Gibbs (and Jacob Hahn) acted like therapy was a 9 to 5 job. If you needed help after 5 pm good luck, you were on your own. 2) Apparently, Hahn Psyc uses email to communicate with each other (for example, the office girl emails the therapist to let her know you need a call back). Considering how many times their email system was down, they really need to re-think this and invest in an ink pen & a message pad. I am also surprised it is not some kind of HIPPA violation to use email all the time to communicate with the therapist. 4) Stacy is insensitive and very good at making the client think and feel that she could care less about you & your situation. One time she returned a crisis call and I kept hearing typing in the background. I finally asked her what she was doing and her reply was "multi-tasking". She was typing another patients' clinical notes from their session while she was supposed to be listening and helping me in a crisis! If you need help and serious therapy, this is NOT the place to go. Stacy Gibbs, Jacob Hahn, and office staff are very unreliable; undependable; incompetent; and uncaring. In my opinion, Jacob Hahn is a huge control freak with some serious anger issues and needs very intensive therapy himself (especially when it comes to working with patients that are Bipolar).

Modern Mental Health is the best there is!…read more I hope Dr. Jacob Hahn will one day start doing therapy again, because he is the GOAT, but everyone I've seen here (and I've seen almost all of them!) has been terrific. Comfortable furniture for you to sit or lay on in relaxingly slightly dimmed lighted rooms perfect for confiding all your deepest thoughts, fears, hopes, nightmares, traumas, insecurities, plans, and working through CBT, DBT, all the therapies! They also offer such a wide variety of testing for diagnostic testing. Tbh, some of them were, dare I say, maybe a little fun? I got to draw a terrible house! It was bad, and showed that I was emotionally distant, and cut off! Fascinating! When I first started, they had the wonderful Miss Lindsay Janzen, who pushed me through some really difficult work but helped cure me of the nightly PTSD nightmares I was having every single day! I'll be forever grateful. Dr. Hahn helped me get through further trauma and abuse issues. Two Stacies to double the awesome, both warm and inviting, non-judgmental, easy to talk to, but one just has that extra something! Lucinda helped me cope with the death of a loved one. Bareha and Molly are the sweetest, nicest people to talk to any time you check in, or need to call for any reason. Are they administrative assistants, or angels? There's no way to know! But you can just tell Molly is an amazing mom! And if Bareha weren't doing this, she could be doing famous makeup tutorials on YouTube! There's nothing wrong with a little glam in the office! You go, girl! I love this place. It's amazing, and we don't deserve it.
