This place is great. The rooms are really spacious and clean. I've been here a bunch of times. I love that they have a kitchen area in the rooms. It feels like a small studio apartment. The room we were in had a bathtub. There is almost everything you would need to cook yourself a little something in the kitchen. The breakfast in the morning is delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

    They also locked the door's.

The hotel management Is extremely rude . Though they were full anyone that came in were kicked out and couldn't even wait in the lobby to make arrangements. One elderly Asian woman was in tear's.

Expedia told us that we would have to wait until they reached the hotel, to confirm if we could get a refund. We were informed no refund bc of Expedias policy. When we contacted the hotel again, to fight this, bc this was mother natures fault, Kaitlyn Young, from Hampton inn said we needed to contact Expedia again bc they were the reason for denial. We contacted Expedia, and spent an hour and half waiting, and Expedia said that Kaitlyn from the hotel was the one who denied a refund. So Kaitlyn was trying to blame Expedia. However, Kaitlyn, was the one who denied. She rushed me off the phone and said call Expedia. We even said we would rebook, at that moment, if they could transfer the money we paid over, so we didn't lose it since this was weather related. Kaitlyn tried to pass the buck off to Expedia and meanwhile Kaitlyn was the one who denied not Expedia! We even said we will pay a penalty, but give us something. Kaitlyn did not care, she just wanted our money, and if we died in the snowstorm she didn't care. All they care about is taking our money for a room that we aren't going to stay in.

I thought o myself: 'No way that's from the elevator.' Well ... sometimes your paranoia is reality. I did strike it up to paranoia and got on the elevator. A lady was also on the elevator from a higher floor and we got off in the lobby. Not like that, bro. I didn't even know her. About that lobby departure, we exited (is that better?) and there was a crowd in the lobby complaining that they had been stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes. The staff told everyone not to go in the elevator. This would be like if you met an escort and didn't know it was an escort. You thought it was the girl next door that went to church four times per week, kept in touch with her family, and baked blueberry pie for homeless people. But you later found out the real her. With that info, you got checked out. All was good. And that meant you rode that elevator for free. Shaky and rattly one too. Absolute insanity. It must be the 4.2% abv Yuengling beer: a traditional lager! Btw, that freaking pool closes at 9 pm, and the casino around the corner is dumpier than Circus Circus in Las Vegas. The hotel gym is cool though. With all that info, if you stay here, you're an idiot. Have a nice day.

My trip was decent but there were a couple of snafus during my stay: 1) Elevators were painfully slow. I mean painful. 2) Shower was not too hot in the morning. 3) Marketplace and front desk staff missing. Granted it was a little late but some wanted more beers and/or semi mixed drinks and I'm not sure how things were paid. Just overheard conversation about it. 4) Final morning the fire alarms were going off and they sent us outside. Oddly enough staff came outside with a coffee cart with to go cups and the accoutrements to go with hot bevvies. Will I be back? Perhaps? It's up to my job for 2026? My bed was okay and the heat was good in my room. Food from the restaurant was mediocre at best.

The desk and cabinets are noticeably tired and old, and the ceilings are still popcorn (aren't those the ceilings accompanied by asbestos warnings?). The room you first walk into consists of an L-couch, coffee table, TV, desk, and kitchenette with stovetop and a full size refrigerator. The towels are rough and not at all fluffy. The toiletries in the bathroom consist of a bar of soap, and pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower (tea tree shampoo, lemon sage conditioner and body wash). Strangely, the toiletries do NOT include lotion. They no longer carry lotion, I was told, as of about a year and a half ago. So if you are prone to dry skin (which I am), BRING YOUR OWN LOTION. I did call the front desk to request some, and they were able to scrounge up a couple residual bottles which they kindly brought up to our room. A luggage stand is another item (other than body lotion) noticeably missing in the room. The bed is uncomfortable (too bouncy), and for some reason, in a one bedroom suite, is queen rather than king sized. The pillows are hard. The sheets/blanket were very strange. There is a flat sheet, and then an extremely thin blanket (no duvet cover). Overall, the bed left much to be desired. In the room we stayed in, there is a small locked closet which houses the heater. It was EXTREMELY loud every time it went on (which it often did, as it is winter, and we kept the thermostat at 73F). If you are a light sleeper I would imagine that this would be a problem. It's unreasonably loud.

"A lively, open, and lush oasis of formative thinking and progressive opportunity"…read more This is what my Groupon said about Jake's 58; and after traveling many hours in hopes of meeting Jake himself, I was looking forward to having a relaxing and beautiful middle-island escape for my family and I. What my Groupon SHOULD'VE SAID was that I was going to be greeted by a brutalist-adjacent superstructure, bereft of any fresh air. That I would be surrounded by hundreds of mindless consumers - all being herded through a small corridor that gave way to a deprived corporate shell ripe with dissimulation. The carpets were exhausted. Maybe we weren't far from Cape Town after all. Gambling is against my religion, so I walked around and met a few of the 58 Jake's that I read about online. They were all very nice. While I enjoyed my stay, I will likely not return in the near future. Great breakfast

I did one lap upstairs, one lap downstairs, and I was gone. I didn't even buy a drink. I'll explain why. This is a very low-vibrational environment. Most of the people here are using government money to try to hit big on slots. Either that or they're hard-working (much respect) low-pay and throwing a Hail Mary. With dozens of reports of extremely tight slots, they're just throwing their money away. And, as always, when a casino has tight slots, they're usually very cost-conscious and don't put much effort or money into upkeep and cleanliness. To be blunt, this place is nasty. On top of that, the parking lot is an absolute disaster. I had three people cut me off for a parking spot within three minutes. Then, while walking toward the building, I guy in a big black pickup truck sped as fast as he could and pretty much let me know he would hit me if I tried to pass. But ... as he passed me, his engine blew. I don't what the hell it is but every single time someone does something bad to me or tries to cross me their life is ruined. Contrary to popular belief (in circles I travel), I never even do anything. I just act like I do and say I do so people will chill the hell out and let me be. But my middle name should be Karma. I'm walking freaking chaos. I don't get it. But I don't mind it either. Anyway... This place sucks. Never go here. Perhaps it would have been better if it was Jack's 58 instead of Jake's 58. With Jack, you have Jack The Ripper, Jack-In-The-Box, One-Eyed Jack, The Jackson Five, Jack And Jill (buck and a quarter), Jack-O-Lantern, and the list goes on and on. With Jake, he's a guy that wears khaki pants with sneakers, glasses, has three strands of parted hair, and goes to accounting conferences. Regardless of name perceptions, this place is very low vibration. If you know what that means, then you know to stay far away. I gave two stars instead of one due location and good security.
