The only thing preventing a two star review is the great employees. The workers at the front desk were super kind and throughout the hotel employees were accommodating. The condition of the room was disappointing, the chair was falling apart, the sink didn't drain and the mirror was filthy. PROS: Conveniently located near major freeways, the (increasingly sad) Solomon Pond Mall and other shopping and eateries in Hudson. Suites are reasonably spacious, and the beds are comfortable. CONS: An utterly dismal and mediocre hospitality experience in every way, possessing all the quality, design detail and ambiance of a WalMart from 1998. Lighting is dim and yellow in the kitchen, various instances of barely passable repairs, room service was sporadic and inconsistent in quality, most of the cleaning staff didn't speak any English, making it necessary to call the front desk for supplies and linens. The TV in one of the rooms was made in 1998 and was fading in and out. The hotel is located near a freeway intersection so all day and all night you can hear Semi trucks downshifting. The breakfast food is sub Denny's / IHOP quality and they stop serving at 9:00 AM, on the dot! I asked a staff member for some more toast bread for toast and she goes into the prep kitchen, reaches into a plastic bag of bread from a grocery store and hands me two slices. Hospitality 101 Fail. It's OK it it's your only choice, for a short stay and / or you're desperate, but for an extended stay which was my case, fairly miserable and depressing. I was very glad to leave. read more

Really disappointed with my experience in this hotel. Some quick comments- Pros- friendly staff, hot chocolate/coffee and tea 24/7, indoor pool open late and fitness center, basketball court, wrap around parking for easy access to the hotel. Cons- little gnats flying around in the room, cobwebs in corners, long hairs on the extra bedding in the closet (I called for a new set which the staff on duty brought quickly to my room), weird water/mold stains on the shower walls, mold on the shower curtains, incredibly loud cricket in the room that chirped ALL NIGHT long. read more

Wouldn't let me post unless I added 1 star. This would be 0 star review. We checked into our 2 bedroom suite, excited at first with the space. Then, upon looking at the furniture which was heavily worn, dented and dingy looking the excitement quickly went away. The bath tub had rust stains. Only after 3 hours, a bug crawling on the wall got our attention. When we got closer we saw it was a ROACH. We called the front desk, who didn't think it was a big deal, and told them we would check out immediately and needed a refund. We were OUT OF THERE, grossed out and NEVER to return. read more

Poor customer service, was treated poorly with no regard for customer relationship. No effort was made to treat customer and Marriott rewards member as that a member. You might want to ask for a room away from the noisy street if you're sensitive to that type of thing * There's little to do within walking distance. Positives: * Vegetarian/Vegan friendly breakfast buffet. They have oatmeal w/toppings: nuts, chocolate chips and more. * vegan microwave popcorn packet in your room! * Kitchen with full-size fridge, & stainless steel electric stovetop. * Very friendly and accommodating staff * Hotel WiFI provider is called "Packet Exchange". VPN connected. VPN failure has bee a problem in some hotels because they don't allow IPSEC passthrough * Internet download peaked at 40Mbps but sustained 20Mbps. The upload was between 4-8Mbps. Not bad! Overall its a pleasant place to stay. Bring some english muffins and some cold drinks to fill the fridge. The accommodations here have the potential to give you a contented stay. read more

Is a little out dated , BUT you have everything you need and more , this hotel is right on , they call right away if a package arrives for you, they clean your room whenever you request it, the breakfast is great , best bagels compared to other hotels in area , the kitchen help is there to help keep the food coming and keep the area clean, been in fancier hotels in area , this is my place away from home, the staff cares, now that is a lot to say !!!!! Why a 5 star in a suburban hotel? Because you can't put a price tag on caring... Clean digs, spacious room, super clean. It's a hotel that caters to hockey families, so they are used to the influx and out bound kids galore. Pet friendly. Super sweet staff. Super sweet. Food is NOT a culinary hotspot. But does it need to be? Linda the afternoon oasis, puts so much loving care in the items she sets out for the tired, the hungry, the cheap or the broke... :) or families displaced because their home deal fell through and no where to go. She makes sure carnivores and veggie people are covered. Cookies and popcorn at the front desk, hot breakfast and cereals, cold water always on hand. What a stellar staff! What heart and soul. They say visitors come as guests and leave as friends... That in a nutshell tells the story of who they are. Give Linda a hug! I stayed for two nights in October 2018. I was familiar with Marriott but this was my first Residence Inn experience. Parking is complimentary and convenient with lots of side entrances. You need to tap your room key to unlock the doors. The doors lead you on a path towards the main foyer and side hallways to your room. The front desk and staff were helpful during the check in/out process and granted requests for additional amenities and water during late hours. Things I didn't expect were my smoke detector going off after my midnight shower and the green line striking through the bedroom tv. The smoke detector was located immediately outside of the bathroom door ceiling. I don't normally watch tv except that particular night was Game 2 of the World Series. Target and the Solomon Pond Mall are less than 10 minutes down the street if you're hungry and don't want to use the kitchen in your room. Overall, I enjoyed my no frills experience here and will return if ever in the area. read more

Typical Residence Inn, parking is usually followed by quite a bit of walking to your room. This hotel is basically the same. Although, the parking lot is shaped like a big C, so it's pretty easy to learn the layout. This hotel has one primary purpose, service the needs of hockey guests visiting for the sports center across the street. This brings kids, mostly loud, active, rambunctious boys. Which is okay, I used to be one, and I am on rare occasions. Although, these kids tend to run the halls after hockey is done, most of the time the parents are standup people and police their children. But you will from time to time get a glimpse of this. The feature of a small kitchenette comes with some downsides. If your neighbors are cooking something with a strong aroma, it may roam the halls right along with you when you're coming or going. The breakfast area is quite tight. If the hotel renovated one area, I'd beg for it to be here. This could be really nice. Currently, the coffee/tea/hot chocolate area is setup in the narrow hallway at the breakfast bar entrance. Difficult for navigation. All the food, drinks, and utensils is crammed in one small area with a island in the middle. I can understand this scenario during thanksgivings at my uncles, but in a hotel... where I'm with strangers trying to get a quick bite, I don't want to rub shoulders or hips with your wife or kids. The dining area is pretty much the same way. The two person tables along the perimeter are okay, but the giant table in the center is rather odd. There is another room adjacent but it's more for lounging and not eating. The last room I received had the refrigerator turned off and it took me about 5 minutes and a screwdriver to turn it on. It's not the worst or the best Residence Inn, but it does have it's annoying features. Oh, and the smoking area at the back door is ridiculous. Enforcement of hotel policy should be taken seriously, I don't want to be a prisoner to your bad habits. read more

I travel a fair amount for work and prefer the Marriott chain because of their rewards program. This place was nearest to where I needed to be and I figured it'll be just like any other REsidence Inn. Clean and modern but nothing fancy. Wow... I was wrong. This place clearly needs to be updated. The room I was in had a tub that had a splotchy grey bottom, like the finish of the porcelain had been worn off and it was just the stains of use. The furniture was quite chipped up and the breakfast bar area had "leather" seats that had lost much of their "leather". If you park in the back (not much in the front), you have to walk through a gauntlet of employees' cigarette smoke and butts to get in. Oh... and it was EXPENSIVE! I paid $189/night for a room. I had stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Boston the night before and paid only $5 more and had a MUCH better experience. The staff was friendly enough but there is no way I will every stay here when business brings me back. Yikes! read more

Booked a one night stay and added an extra night. I was in town for business and this hotel was reasonably priced for my expense budget ($125 w/. AAA card). I had a king studio room and it made me feel at home. The furnishings were nice including the chaise lounge and the work desk. I loved the TV location in the room so that I could rotate it for either work at the desk, sitting at the kitchen counter, or laying in bed. My only complaint is about a little noise. The doors in this hotel slam very loudly. Every time someone was in and out, there was a big bang. The walls were maybe a little thin because I could hear some conversation and TV from my neighbor, but it wasn't offensive. Also, when the air conditioning was in my room there was a very loud hum, it almost sounded like a train was nearby. The location is convenient to a few chain restaurants and a mall. The on-site facilities are great including a sports court with basketball hoop. There is a evening meal Monday through Thursday. I had a turkey dinner the one night, which was basically like high school cafeteria food, but it was free! The breakfast was as good as your usual complimentary breakfast at chain hotels. The in room internet connection was consistent, but not a strong enough signal to get a good stream on my Slingbox. The connection was solid for basic web browsing and emailing though. There is an arcade near the lobby with a bubble hockey game and pinball machine! I will definitely look to stay here again if the rate is similar. read more

Stayed 3 months & loved every 1. Family friendly and extraordinarily courteous staff. They smile, they care, they look after their guests. The sign in the main hallway reads "You came as guests, but we hope you leave as friends." Even the friendly security guard would enjoy taking our dogs for walks. Yes, the parking is limited and the hockey teams can be loud. But that in my experience was offset in leaps and bounds by service, cleanliness, reliability, great buffet food, terrific pool and gym, and overall great experience. Very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious. Bathroom is great. Heat is kicking. Nice people. Room is clean. And the negatives are: Parking not so great - could be the snow storm. I absolutely got the last spot and had to roll over a mound of snow to get into it. I mean this is Massachusetts- they should know how to clear snow. Walkway around the hotel was good. However there is no pull in to unload the car. So I have to drag my suitcase over the mounds of snow in the parking spaces while carrying my mobile office in my backpack. Not the best. I am sweating - it's 19 degrees and snowing. I am an internet user like most people who live in hotels so often. BUT I am a platinum Marriott member and they say they cannot give me the high speed internet connection. I have to call a special phone number and provide details on my devices - which I'm not going to do - I know better - nice try. It's late and I'm tired from driving in the snow so I will speak to someone in the AM. But - this kind of sux. Someone posted fireplaces in every room. Mine does not have a fireplace. Not that it's a big deal for me. read more

I stay here 1-2 times a month for business. I'm not very demanding and don't expect perfection so let that be the preface. Could small things always be better? Sure, I guess. But they nail the big ones for me. I always get upgraded to a suite, I flip flop reservation dates more than the average person and they always accommodate without penalty. The building is newly renovated and is warm and inviting, as is the staff. Free and decently stocked breakfast at 6. Fireplaces in each room. Don't love being away from home but don't feel like i am when I'm here. It's a good spot, warranting you're not a critic. read more

The hotel itself is not bad. Parking is very limited, spots were at a premium. Rooms were ok, we stayed in 2 bedroom suite. Breakfast buffett was very limited, food mediocre. pool was ok, hot tub had problems when jets were on, was not supposed to be shooting into the air. Now we came for a hockey tournament, found out about their cancellation policy. TOURNAMENT PARENTS BEWARE!!! if you are eliminated from a tournament they do not refund your reservation for the next day, even if you give them notice before checkout time. Most of our team stayed at the Courtyard 10 mins away and none of them had a problem getting out of their reservations, they understood how tournaments work. The GM Brooke was very strict on this policy and the sign about good customer service was not followed with me or the other parents trying to checkout a day early. I would never stay here again but will got the Courtyard Marriot next time. So you needed the 3 peoples money that bad for the day we will not be there, but have lost 3 customer for life and there will be many future hockey tournaments!! read more

Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was spotless and very spacious. There was a full kitchen (fridge, microwave, electric burners, dishwasher) and also a huge flatscreen tv. It was okay...I stayed there for 2 weeks while doing business in Marlboro...the room was good sized and clean...Internet access was good...the breakfast buffet was basic...muffins seemed a little stale...bananas never got ripe...the hot tub was pretty much broken the whole time I was there...parking was tough if you got in late...maybe more guest rooms than parking spaces...at breakfast I got a weird feeling that families were actually living there...I realize it is an extended stay type hotel, but it's usually business people...I'll try the Courtyard up the road next time... read more

The residence inn, Marriott in westboro mass did all of these things. My pregnant daughter, her fiancée, and their 4 year old daughter were staying here while their home was being renovated. 3 months into their stay, as soon as the last day was covered through lawyers, the staff at this hotel harassed, threatened , and degraded my daughter and her family. Never did they offer compassion or help but threatened to have them removed by a sheriff. 4 months at $ per night. You can only assume how much money they got . Most unprofessional staff, I have ever been faced with. My advice is stay somewhere else. Rooms are mediocre and they don't offer anything positive. Horrible experience read more
