I would give 6 stars if I could. Recently purchased an apartment in Sevilla, and considering we…read morewere in the US for most of the process, Jose made this as smooth as possible. HIs English is excellent; he has experience with foreigners buying property, so we feel lucky to have found him. Joaquina, a seasoned agent who, although spoke no English, showed us many properties (they even arranged a young translator during the tours in case my high school Spanish wasn't enough.) She listened to our feedback and helped us find an apartment that was a good fit for our taste and our budget. We were only there a few days so once she had an idea of what we liked, she scoped out a few and only had us visit the ones she thought may work for us. Once we decided to move forward, Jose Gamero, the owner, did most of the paperwork. There is a lawyer that works for the company who does a lot of the legal documents and checks on liens and past owners, etc. I can't say this was totally stress-free, but I can imagine that having a bad real estate agent / inmobiliario could have made this a very unpleasant experience. I would suggest trying to avoid doing your final signing and paperwork in July and August in Seville. It seems like everyone is out of town, which I think is common there. The 6th star rating is really for all the help since we purchased the apartment. Jose has taken the time to arrange workmen to come and do some flooring and painting, and has made sure everything was smoothly communicated with our neighbors. He's really been terrific. Real estate agents in the US would have been long gone after they got their commission. If you are looking for a responsible, honest, English speaking inmobiliario in Sevilla, we can strongly recommend Jose Gamero at Sevilla 2000.

We stayed in a very comfortable 1 bedroom apartment on c/ San Luis owned by Sevilla 5. The…read moreapartment was *exactly* as represented online - always a huge plus - and was very spacious. The large living room included a coffee table and large sofa, a small dining table with four chairs, ample storage (a huge closet), a television (admittedly, we never watched it so I'm not sure what the selection was like), and two french doors that opened onto the street. The well-sized kitchen came stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, basic pots and pans, and included a reliable dishwasher and washing machine (one hangs one's clothes on the roof to dry). The bedroom was cozy and the plus was that it faced an interior courtyard and so was very quiet. The apartment also came with reliable wifi, and a/c and heating (though you pay for the electricity when you leave at the rate of .20Euros per kilowatt used). The location was also absolutely fantastic; since we were staying nearly three months in Sevilla, we wanted to be a bit removed from Barrio Santa Cruz, and to live someplace more neighborhoody. C/San Luis was ideal - a few minutes walk to the Alameda de Hercules, hundreds of restaurants within a ten minute walk (including the fantastic Contenedor right down the street), easy to get to Santa Justa train station for trips, a taxi stand at the top of the street, and an easy walk to all of Sevilla's main cultural sights. As for the company itself: a Sevilla 5 employee met us exactly when he said he would on the day we arrived in Sevilla, and he showed us around the apartment and left us with a key. We were a bit jet lagged so couldn't really soak in all the information and it was only after he left that I realized I had forgotten to ask a few questions (like, where do we throw away our trash?) He was always very accessible by email and phone, though I thought a basic informational document in the apartment might be useful. Similarly, the closet in the living room had lots of great stuff - a warm blanket for cooler nights, extra towels, a fan, a comforter - but not always in the most easily accessible way. A comprehensive list might make it easier for future guests to know what's around. The only other inconvenience is that you have to pay in cash (Euros) for your full stay in the apartment upon arrival. In short: we really enjoyed the apartment; it was very comfortable for three months, the price was very reasonable (much cheaper than our much smaller 1BR in Washington DC), and the location couldn't be beat. We were a bit nervous about renting with Sevilla5 because we couldn't find that many reviews online and one never knows if the pictures on a website will correspond to reality - but this was EXACTLY as represented, and exceeded our expectations.

HORRIBLE. NEVER USE ROOMSEVILLA…read more Please it's really bad. They gave as a filthy apartment with most of the utilities missing or not working. It was really dirty and they treat you in a horrible way. No hot water. No oven. No wifi. Dirty washing machine and toilets. Doors that were making sounds and one of them wouldn't even close. They won't give us the deposit back as well.

**PLEASE SHARE - IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS IN SPAIN***…read more First off I would like to state that I stayed with the partner company RoomCórdoba - which is managed by the same people as RoomSevilla. I'm posting a review here since I want as many students to stay away from them!! I would like to inform as many current or future students studying in Spain of an unfortunate situation that happened to me during my Erasmus year regarding my accommodation. I hope to share my story in hopes that it will help other students from being left in the same circumstances that I found myself in. For my second semester I studied at the University of Córdoba and needed to find accommodation in the city. I was recommended the letting agent 'RoomCórdoba' by an former student on my course and so decided to seek accommodation through this agency. I still have no idea how this student could ever recommend this so-called 'agency'. In short, the company is a complete scam. They advertise beautifully pristine rooms at an affordable price and specifically target Erasmus students. When in reality, the photos are grossly misleading. The flat was extremely unhygienic and unsafe. It had exposed electrical wiring in the shower, the rooms were clearly not cleaned out from previous tenants, and the management of the entire agency is dreadful. To summarize, a few of the issues I had include: -I was not given keys to the flat- I was met upon arrival by another tenant, and never once met an employee or agent from the company. Over 36 hours after I arrived at the flat, I was given keys from a local handyman. For those 36 hours, I had no access in or out of the flat to purchase necessities. -In the short time I was there, various strangers had access to the property without giving any notice to the tenants before arriving. -The door to my room did not shut nor lock and as my room was situated in the kitchen, anyone that had access to the flat, was able to enter my room. -The agency RoomCórdoba runs Erasmus pages on Facebook and deliberately targets students who create posts looking for accommodation. Since they are the admins on these pages, no negative reviews or comments about their company are permitted to be on these group pages. I am grateful that since RoomCórdoba breached my contract I was able to leave their accommodation after a short time, however I have spoken to other students both from my host and home university that weren't as lucky. It was an expensive mistake and I can only hope others can learn from this experience. RoomCórdoba also offers accommodation in Seville under the name 'RoomSevilla', and I know of students who have suffered the same scams in this city too. PLEASE share and warn anybody you know who may be likely to fall victim to this company. I've attached photos of the room I reserved, and the state of what the room actually looked like.
