HORRIBLE. NEVER USE ROOMSEVILLA. Please it's really bad. They gave as a filthy apartment with most of the utilities missing or not working. It was really dirty and they treat you in a horrible way. No hot water. No oven. No wifi. Dirty washing machine and toilets. Doors that were making sounds and one of them wouldn't even close. They won't give us the deposit back as well. read more

**PLEASE SHARE - IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS IN SPAIN*** First off I would like to state that I stayed with the partner company RoomCórdoba - which is managed by the same people as RoomSevilla. I'm posting a review here since I want as many students to stay away from them!! I would like to inform as many current or future students studying in Spain of an unfortunate situation that happened to me during my Erasmus year regarding my accommodation. I hope to share my story in hopes that it will help other students from being left in the same circumstances that I found myself in. For my second semester I studied at the University of Córdoba and needed to find accommodation in the city. I was recommended the letting agent 'RoomCórdoba' by an former student on my course and so decided to seek accommodation through this agency. I still have no idea how this student could ever recommend this so-called 'agency'. In short, the company is a complete scam. They advertise beautifully pristine rooms at an affordable price and specifically target Erasmus students. When in reality, the photos are grossly misleading. The flat was extremely unhygienic and unsafe. It had exposed electrical wiring in the shower, the rooms were clearly not cleaned out from previous tenants, and the management of the entire agency is dreadful. To summarize, a few of the issues I had include: -I was not given keys to the flat- I was met upon arrival by another tenant, and never once met an employee or agent from the company. Over 36 hours after I arrived at the flat, I was given keys from a local handyman. For those 36 hours, I had no access in or out of the flat to purchase necessities. -In the short time I was there, various strangers had access to the property without giving any notice to the tenants before arriving. -The door to my room did not shut nor lock and as my room was situated in the kitchen, anyone that had access to the flat, was able to enter my room. -The agency RoomCórdoba runs Erasmus pages on Facebook and deliberately targets students who create posts looking for accommodation. Since they are the admins on these pages, no negative reviews or comments about their company are permitted to be on these group pages. I am grateful that since RoomCórdoba breached my contract I was able to leave their accommodation after a short time, however I have spoken to other students both from my host and home university that weren't as lucky. It was an expensive mistake and I can only hope others can learn from this experience. RoomCórdoba also offers accommodation in Seville under the name 'RoomSevilla', and I know of students who have suffered the same scams in this city too. PLEASE share and warn anybody you know who may be likely to fall victim to this company. I've attached photos of the room I reserved, and the state of what the room actually looked like. read more

RoomSevilla is a big scam. They exploit foreign students because they are in a vulnerable position. Just like me you're in a new country all by yourself and you just want to have the best experience of your life. RoomSevilla will try to ruin that for you. Don't believe any of the positive reviews because they try hard to keep a positive image through PR. RoomSevilla is an evil, greedy company that will try to squeeze out as much money as possible from you. I've lived in a RoomSevilla house with 8 people in total (Calle Isabela, Porvernir) the first semester of 2017/2018. Here is a selection of things this scheming company did: - First of all they put up a false advertisement online for my room. Upon arrival I got the wrong room which was much smaller than the room i booked. They put pictures of a different room in the advertisement. I had proof i didn't book this room because i took screenshots of the booking confirmation. RoomSevilla didn't want to believe me so they gave me an option: to leave right now or i had to find someone else for the room. Because I was all by myself in Spain and couldn't speak Spanish i didn't want to leave immediately because I had nowhere to go. I couldn't find another accommodation so after a while, another room in our house became available because someone left. The reason i stayed were my amazing roommates and because i couldn't find anything else. A very stressful beginning of my time in Sevilla. - The house was very, very dirty with cockroaches everywhere in the beginning. The furniture was very old and almost broken. Weekly, almost daily something broke down. Very often the washing machine, fridges and dishwasher were broken. Also we had to live without warm water occasionally. - We didn't have warm water often, or water at all. One day our water boiler broke down and they blamed us for breaking it. Guess who had to pay... we did. They will try to make you pay for everything. - RoomSevilla makes fake promises every week. They often send emails that there will be a cleaning check but nobody shows up. They say that if the house is not clean enough they will keep money from your deposit. Also they promised us a monthly cleaning service. Showed up once, never happened again. - They often do house visits/room visits. It happened to me twice that when i was sleeping in the morning somebody just randomly entered my room. - This is where the real exploiting begins. In the contract it says you pay 35€ a month for utility costs. So you think you're covered right? No you're not. RoomSevilla will exploit you by sending messages that if the costs for electricity, water, gas and light will exceed the 35€ a month, they will keep money from your deposit. It says nowhere in the contract that they're allowed to do this. They will keep sending warnings like: 'Heating is very expensive in your house so please don't use the heaters often.' and 'We noticed it was very warm in your house so we are warning you that if the utility bills will be high you'll have to pay' We barely used the heaters in our house and we were very careful with using water and such. In the winter we were wearing thick jackets within our own house. They send you these messages so when they keep money from your deposit they can say: 'At least we warned you.' RoomSevilla took off 270€ off everyone's deposit because of the exceeding utility bills! So don't think the 35€ utility costs cover everything! We were with 8 people so we were paying 280€ a month for utility costs. They took 270€ of everyone's deposit, meaning that with 8 people we had 3560€ of utility bills in 5 months. They just steal your money. RoomSevilla will try everything to exploit you and keep money from your deposit. Don't let the friendly and helpful e-mails fool you! They reply to your emails very fast and friendly but once you signed the contract... you will regret it. They know that international students are easy to exploit because they don't know the laws of the country and will always be there temporarily. read more

I rented a room with them and I had quite a lot of problems. First, their prices are 50-100 euros above the market ones. After closing the contract, the communication from really friendly and helpful, started to be quite bad and totally not professional (wrong mails, wrong bills, didn't even know when the contract would have finished). Just two examples: I had a very old washing machine in which not even the hot water was flowing. It (of course) broke after a while, and they wanted to charge me for that. In the contract is stated that they should give back the deposit one month after one leaves the apartment, but after almost two months that they were not answering my mails I had to go to their office three times and get angry to have back my money. My housemate, who had already left Sevilla, still don't have the money back. Roomsevilla has a really good website (all in English) and very nice public relations skills, and it uses these capacities to attract young students, especially the ones who don't speak Spanish. I would recommend to avoid this agency (and in general, all agencies in Sevilla): there is a great rooms and apartment offer and renting something through private ads is easy, fast and can save you a lot of money. read more

DANGER, DANGER, DANGER !!!

Disgusting. Fake. Took advantage of us. Anna is by far the worst human being I've ever dealt with. Even Osama Bin Laden had more respect for other humans than she does. read more
