It's really very strange here: it's a big warehouse, where people who make various home related items hire a space and then install a display. That's all fairly straightforward, but the strange part is that there's no people: if you want to know about an item you have to take a flyer, or register for more information, or go online; there's no one to talk to. Furthermore, because of the way the place is laid out, you very rarely see any other customers so it's quite eerie. I get that it's a useful place if you are doing a big home reno, but the whole place is unsettling so I just wanted to leave when I went there.

I asked about prices and the staff member at HID gave me a brochure which didn't have prices in it but there was a website address so I went home and emailed my quest for further info. Within an hour the prices were on my screen so no complaints there. Home Ideas Centre is not what it used to be. Sure it still has a range of products you can touch and measure and feel but there are lots of big gaps in the displays. Nice that's the centre's open at the weekend though. Good on you.

Had 2 other quotes and AHP were the best the price. Job was booked in and the two young guys that did the install were awesome! Were half an hour EARLY to the the time they said they were coming (unheard of these days!). Shoes off every time they came in the house - drop sheet on carpet to catch the small amount of mess and cleaned up and took all the packaging away when finished. Did an excellent job (commenting as a veteran tradie), set up the wifi unit - talked us through all that was needed to know. Job done in less than 3 hours. Love our new Mitsubishi Heat Pump. Royal Oak Shoe Repairs and Keys is fantastic! Located in the Royal Oak shopping mall (on the…read moreMcDonalds side), there is plenty of onsite parking available. Mum and I have come here a number of times to get our shoes repaired. They always do a wonderful job and best of all its cheap! There are so many shoe repair stores that rip you off!! The only down fall I have with this place is that it isn't located conveniently to me. As it's in a direction I never go in, sometimes it's easier to go elsewhere due to convenience. However when I needed to get two pair of boots fixed, I made the journey to come here as I knew I wasn't going to be charged an arm and a leg, also I would be happy with the result. If you have the time to drive to Royal Oak to drop your boots in, I would totally recommend coming to Royal Oak Shoe Repairs & Keys. You won't be disappointed.
