Pateo was quite the surprise to us. We were looking for a restaurant in Evora that was tasty, good…read morevibes, baby friendly, and not tooooo slow (sometimes portugese lunch takes 2-3 hours) Pateo was hidden down an alley and boy it hit the mark.
Yes, it is clear this is a spot for tourists, and because of that there are prices that are more in line with tourist prices - but this is an outdoor dining experience that is better than in most major cities i nthe United States.
The service was good, the vibes were cool outdoor portugese dining on a patio type vibes, and the Iberian black pork was AMAZING. The chopped lamb pretty solid, and a couple drinks were nice, but not overwhelming.
Good spot worth coming back to...not life changing , but not sure that's what you need in Evora.
