Pros: Great location, big nightclub atmosphere, and a pretty crowd. Security was a plus as Gilberto, one of the security detail assigned to our table, was a better host than the actual VIP manager (who is actually the bouncer's brother).
Cons: We were four good looking girls in our late twenties who had a table reservation and our biggest issue was the main bouncer at the door, Chepe. Not only was he arrogant, but he preferred to let young teeny bopper boys into the club just because of the amount of times they have been there. Granted, we understand that this industry is all about who you know- but again, four foreign and pretty women, with a table reservation, and paying in dollars, had issues getting in because of this self-absorbed individual. Once he finally stepped off his high horse and did us the huge favor of letting us into the nightclub, we noticed that all of these little boys were 15-25 to a table, splitting a bottle. Absolutely ridiculous and would have never been allowed in any large and upscale nightclub at any cosmopolitan city. The girls were the worst, several of them absolutely inebriated, climbing on top of the couches and getting into fights with whoever they could find, the epitome of a spoiled child living off the name of her family. Typical Mexico City fresa-style. Definitely not impressed with the vibe, or the fact a doorman would think so highly of himself that his only presence actually affects what the foreign ex-patriate crowds recommend to foreigners coming to party in Mexico. Just because of this one man- my friends and I will not be coming back to this place. We salute the owner for allowing this type of behavior and catering to the teenage crowd that will never benefit the nightclub's social status in any shape or form. read more
