I would like to bring to your attention the existing class action lawsuits involving this company, which include concerns raised by both external parties and employees. I have experienced issues with overcharging and have noticed that the trucks occasionally cause damage to property, such as driving over curbs and impacting the grass. Additionally, our agreement specified that the dumpster would be locked after it was emptied; however, this has not been implemented. As a result, when the dumpster remains open, neighbors mistakenly believe they can add their waste to it. It was a hassle to cancel. I certified them over 6 months before, but there is a clause in the fine print of the contract that states you can't notify them that early. I had another hassle getting them to pick up the container. They wanted to add months on so they could make extra money. Very Unhappy! read more

The worst trash service you can use. You will be paying for a service you some times receive. They will leave piles of trash around your property. I wish I could post the photos I took. If you try reaching them they will answer the call to make you feel they are there for you but they will do NOTHING to help you. Republic lost the contract to provide services in my city, so what do they do? They pick up my trash bin 3 weeks early forcing me to keep bags of trash on my garage floor in south Texas heat. I pay for this mind you. I've called multiple times and all the customer service representatives can do is tell me to call the city. Republic is denying they are responsible for service even though the city website says otherwise. I'll move before I use republic again. read more

Horrible company!! I had them in my previous home on trash day the trucks would fling trash all over the streets. I also had to move and they charged me to get new trash cans at the new home delivery fees when I could have easily just moved my original cans to new home I had to pay 100$ to have new ones sent. Then at my new place the rate shot up and they added tons more fees. Finally fed up I decided to change companies. Just cancelling my service is costing a ton of money because they force me to pay pick up fees just to have my trash cans removed giving no options for me to personally take the trash cans to them myself to avoid these ridiculously high fees. After many run - around conversations with customer service, I realized they would not pickup the trash they left in my yard. It took me two hours and filled five trash bag with the rubbish they left behind. Normally it would not take that long but being 78 years old with a heart condition tends to slow you down. I don't feel I should pay someone to pick up after paying monthly for that service. Brush pickups are part of our contract and quality service is expected. Customer Service responded by questioning what was left behind and if they had been properly placed on the curb, were the branches facing the correct direction. A good service would have a follow-up crew to solve such problems. They would actually become the good company they claim to be. read more

Republic Services did not pick up my trash on a Oct 18 so I rescheduled for Oct 22 and they still didn't come Despite two phone calls and a bunch of excuse. I have nowhere left to put trash. Terrible service. Skipped recycle pickup, they have no email address to contact, phone customer service is closed on pickup day, and there is no way to contact anyone higher up. My recycle was out there for 2 days, everyone else got picked up. My trash even got picked up. So it's just a lazy driver and terrible customer service. If you are a residential customer, or an HOA looking to get an exclusive contract with a trash removal company - look somewhere else. I'm about to go complain to my HOA. read more

However, your account is still open and billing. In order to stop the billing, we need you to contact our Customer Service group to officially cancel your Republic account. Once you call, the account will be closed, billing will stop, and we will pick up the container. You can reach Customer Service at 210-304-2700 to cancel your services and have this resolved. After several months and phone calls to this poor excuse of a business they have yet to refund the $2.49 owed me for an over payment after they cancelled my subscription due to not enough business in my neighborhood to continue service. If the option was available to rate in the minus i would give them -500% + if humanly possible. Simply terrible!!! read more

Awful customer service!!! Called 3 times never had any calls returned! Trash guy threw away lids on my personal cans and now animals get into my trash as I live in the country! As a result of no lids and getting no where with talking to a "supervisor"in my area (its been over a month or more)... Today the man sees me with my 10 month old picking up garbage off the drive way that he just left there after he dumped my cans of trash...and he says he cant touch it?!?! You're the trash man??? We recently moved from TX to Indiana. We had Republic for trash pickup and recycling at our TX address for the past 6 yrs. Upon our move, Republic told us that we have to pay $50 plus fees for EACH bin that they are going to pick up at the old house. When we started service with Republic 6 years ago at that house, we never signed a contract or were told that there would be a bin pickup fee. I guess they figured that people wouldn't take them to court over $100+ in bogus fees. Further, the new owners at our old house have told Republic that they want to use the same bins and service that we previously had so there should not be a "pick up" fee. However, the new owners were told by Republic that they have to pay $50 plus fees each for delivering bins that are already there! We would not recommend Republic for this and several other reasons. We have seen them dump the recycle contents in the regular trash, even though we were paying extra for recycling. Ever increasing charges for "fuel" costs, with energy prices going down. Look for other alternatives!!!!!!!!!! read more
