Due to flight delays and shuttle traffic, we arrived at the rental center around midnight. We had booked a pickup truck but realized it didn't have enough storage, so we asked to switch to a car from the Presidential lane -- something that's never been an issue before. That's when we encountered Leanne (short woman with brown hair in kind of a Dora-type haircut), who was shockingly rude and unprofessional. When my fiancé politely asked, "Could you please check what my other options are?", she mocked him in front of everyone, saying, "Look at this guy -- he's begging me now." We were stunned. When we told her this kind of behavior is not okay, she smiled, gave us her name, and said "Feel free to complain on me" like she was proud of it -- then walked away as if she had done nothing wrong. We contacted Hertz Customer Service that same night. They apologized, promised to remove some charges, offer a free rental, and file an official complaint against her. Two months later -- nothing. No follow-up, no credits, and no accountability. Now my fiancé is on yet another hour-long call trying to resolve what should have been a straightforward issue. This was not just disappointing -- it was demeaning. For a company that prides itself on elite membership experiences, this was anything but. If she hates her job, she should do something else instead of ruining everyone's days and vacations. Please put her on probation or fire her, she was terribly demeaning- not customer service support whatsoever.

It took a hot minute for our luggage to arrive on the carousel, so that didn't help! When we got to the rental car 'corral' there was a line about 15 people deep. Thankfully, Alamo had 3, possibly 4, desks open, staffed & helping customers. Despite the high number of people in line, we did NOT wait more than 10-15 minutes before getting to the desk ourselves. Picking up the rental was a bit out of the ordinary for us this time. After we filled out the contract & paid for the class of car we wanted, we were directed outside to the Alamo lot. Once there, the porter directed us to row 4 and to pick out whichever car we wanted. We didn't have much to choose from... but it was nice that we could choose ourselves. We were able to compare trunk space as well as head space for my husband who's considerably taller than I am. After we made our choice and exited the lot, the adventures began. The car was clean with low mileage at pick up. We simply chose it because of its beautiful blue color, lol. Priorities!! 3 states in 5 days! The car was most definitely fuel efficient. We used less than $100 in gas! It was spacious for me... but not so much for my husband. It drove comfortably across the highways & through the tunnels. It did well in the desert heat, as well! Returning it was seamless, as well! We gave ourselves a little extra time as we had to drop off and take the shuttle back to the airport. For once, I can recommend a car rental location.... Additionally, the interior on some windows had spots on them, as though someone had sneezed or spilled something. Cleanliness is a must, particularly during Covid. Had the photographs provided revealed the stains, we would not have rented this vehicle. It got us from point A to B, but we used a lot of hand sanitizer and cleaned the front dash, windows and steering wheel ourselves.

We chose this place because 90% of car…read morerentals do not rent cars without a credit card(which we do not have back in my country) We rented for 2 days and charged 700$ in total(400$ cash deposit). Even the totaled cars are better. We got a Chevy SUV that has 13-15mpg due to poor maintenance. After two days, we let them know that we are going to be late for an hour and we're not even told that they are gonna charge for a whole day. We are back they said that they are going to refund the deposit in 2 days to a Cash App that was sus because it was cash, not a debit or credit card. 1 week passed no refund in my Cash App. The only positive thing about this business is its call center representatives. After 3 days 205.08 dollars was refunded. I thought that it was going to take a couple more days for them to process and refund the other half. After 1 week I called them and they said that there was a refund processing fee of 25$ and 150$ a day charge for rent. However, it is still 175$, not 194.92$. In conclusion, use any other service there are a bunch of them that accept cash deposits.
