I rented a trailer this morning from Rental Stop, a company I have used many times over the years. When I picked up the trailer, I noticed that three tires looked good, but one looked bald. I asked the guy loading my trailer if it was safe to drive, and he assured me it was. I drove to my pickup location to get asphalt, and as I was driving, within one mile, the bald tire on the trailer blew out. The trailer swung to the left of my vehicle, cracking my rim and almost flipping me over. Thankfully, I didn't roll over, but I had to get my truck towed due to the damage to the rim. The owner of Rental Stop lied and said the towing company told them they had to tow it to their facility, even though I had asked them to tow it to my home so I could get my material. When I spoke to the owner, she essentially blamed me, saying it was my fault because I could have refused to take the trailer. The best she offered was to charge me $130 to drop off my materials. They had repaired the blown tire, but I questioned why I should pay for towing my materials when I had paid for 24 hours of rental on the trailer. I pleaded with her to do the right thing, explaining that I had been a customer for years and they knew the tire wasn't safe. All I asked for was my material. The owner said she would be willing to dump it on the property, and I could come shovel it onto my truck. I'm absolutely disgusted and disappointed. I would never treat someone like this. I'm leaving this review to alert others that this company is not about customer service. They take no responsibility and don't care about the safety of their customers. Everything was about "we will take care of ours; you take care of yours." Completely unprofessional. read more

Rented some chairs and tables for mother in law 66th. Did want the standard width rectangle tables so they helped me brain storm to combine 18 inch width with 30 inch to get me desired width. My only problem was they the 18 inch tables were slightly shorter than the 30 inch width tables. The young lady who helped was so nice and helpful however she was wrong when she assured me tables would be same height. Today I rented a chipper. Got to the house and husband was home from work. He blows up at me and says we don't need it. I just signed a 4 hour contract, so I told him I'll lose my $84 I paid. He didn't care. The owner and manager was SO AWESOME. They understood and it only cost me $10.80. I've never had a company be so understanding when personal issues arise. I have rented through rental stop many times and have referred countless other people to this company. Never in my life would I havw thought i would be making a negative review! But my last experience was disheartening. I ordered pipe and drape for an Expo I was working on. While setting up my pipe and drape at my event I noticed that there were a few poles and bases missing so I called them right away. It says to notify them immediately if something is wrong on your receipt. I explained the situation and they didnt have the staff available to bring me the pipes needed for this setup. Which that part I can understand. I just made a request to get a refund for the pipe and drape I was unable to use. So they had their customer service give me a call. I explained the situation and right from the jump he was argumentative and said that I requested one thing but when their agent repeated it back to me she said the word "Run" which apparently means a row with out dividing poles. I explained how I dont know how their systems work I just know what i requested and if your sales person repeated it different than my request I wouldn't know she changed the request because I dont work for your company. He kept making a reference to having a recording so I asked him to send me a copy so I could hear it. He said he was going to send it but still wouldn't be able to get a refund of the unused pipe and drape. Needless to say he never sent the recording, doesnt reply back to my emails and is no longer available to take my calls. I definitely feel this was an avoidable situation and a fixable situation. There is some serious customer service adjustments needed with this company and this experience is unfortunate. read more

We rented table and chairs for my daughters graduation party. When I returned them they had several people unloading my chairs and didn't keep track of the amounts. They also stacked the chairs with other customers chairs so I couldn't validate the count. They then said I was 3 chairs short and had no way to prove it. The people at this business are scammers and I will never go back. They have lost my business for good!!! read more

Melissa was exceptional in her professional manner and was a delight to work with. In all I would recommend either of these locations and these two ourstanding employees. Their representation of your company was Professional, Courteous and above all Outstanding. In the rental business, there are often issues, I found this not to be the case with them. We rented 10 banquet tables for a garage sale. We live out-of-state, so we were able to find Rental Stop online without any personal recommendations. They quoted us the lowest price of all other places in the DFW area, and they delivered for cheap ($29). They quoted a 4 hour delivery window, but I was able to call the day before and find out a one-hour window. Furthermore, we were finished with the rental a day early, and I called and Rental Stop came to pick them up within an hour. Friendly employees, truthful facts, met all expectations. read more
