Southfield, MI Greyhound Package Express / Bus Lines…read more Until the employee (blonde man in his 30's) is investigated for volatile behavior, this is not a safe Greyhound station. I entered the Package Express unlocked door on a Saturday morning when the station was supposed to be open. After concern of not seeing an employee, I asked a fellow customer to walk with me to the back room to see if the employee was there and if they were OK since they didn't answer my calls out to them at 8:30am. A man who was working in construction on 11 Mile came in and noted that the guy who works for Greyhound is often late and/or sleeping in the back. About 20 minutes late, a man came through the station door, dressed in shorts and a sweatshirt, with an angry voice and said to everyone waiting, "WHAT are you doing here? You're not supposed to be in here!" and added,"...the door DOESN'T LOCK!" It took a moment to realize he was a Southfield-Greyhound employee. He didn't apologize for being late, but blamed us for entering the station when it was supposed to be open? We all looked at each other in shock... he was hostile and admitted that the door doesn't lock so the numerous boxes/packages sitting in the building hallway were unsecured! His temper was disconcerting, so I said, "What is your name?" He didn't reply. I said again, "What is your name?!" He said, "The company doesn't let us give out our names due to security reasons." I have tried vigorously to bring this issue to management. Hopefully someone will not only listen, but will take action.

It was scary. I…read morereceived a large package there. The box contained an antique chair and as I was told by a sender to unwrap on site to make sure it arrived without damage, I was unwrapping the box. Also the box was too big to put into my small Civic, but the chair itself could get in. While I was unwrapping I put some of the package materials in a nearby bin and the ticket guy came out and start shouting at me. He was having a real temper tantrum and told me I had to bring all the packing materials home or he would call the POLICE. Even after I said "Yes, I will bring all materials home" he did not stop shouting. Later he came out AGAIN to shout some more. I will be very surprised this kind of person functions even just for selling tickets.

Beware of this maintenance agency. They seem ingenious and cruel in their approach to tenants…read more I lived in Knob in the Woods apartment for approximately three years and vacated my apartment by the end of summer in 2016. After I moved from the apartment, I cleaned the apartment for the best of my ability. I used the apartment respectfully and did not cause any major damages that I was aware off. One month after I vacated my apartment, Hartman & Tyner her send me a bill for around 870$, which was roughly equal to one months rent in the apartment that I was staying. I requested them for proof for the damages that they have claimed. Instead of sending me proof for damages that they claimed (required by Michigan law related to Tenant and Landlord relationships), they reported the damages to a debt collection agency. I stayed in the apartment for three years and payed my bills on time and maintained by apartment to the best of my ability. The least they could have done is to tell me, why they claimed the damages. They failed to do so. They have also charged me for maintenance issues that are to be expected from regular wear and tear. For example, when I moved in, I was told that the carpet was old and most likely it would have to replace at the end of the year. However, Hartman and Tyner requested payment for damages to the carpet after we stayed in the apartment for 3 years. This review is not related to the Knob in the Woods management. This is related to the management company called Hartman and Tyner.

The carpet is…read moredisgusting but they have it freshly cleaned on move in day so you don't actually see how dirty the carpet actually is until it drys. after about a week or 2 all the stains are revealed. the community is nice I don't believe there's a case of packages coming up missing from Amazon fedex etc. the parking is plowed during the winter the steps another story, but not too bad. maintenance personnel are nice but nothing is ever really fixed, just bandaid attempts. the pool never seems to be extremely busy so if you like to go for a swim have at it. washer and dryer located on each floor the price went up in a few short months after move in and it varies depending on what type of wash you want so be prepared to spend about 5.00 for each load (washing and drying) all of the appliances are outdated and doesn't match the price you're paying for the apartment. the apartment is spacious if you're getting California split but keep in mind you only get one key fob and one mail key and one car port spot, so if you're two singles looking for a place keep this in mind. speaking of carport, other people take spots and there is nothing the leasing office can do about it. they won't tow the car. instead they'll say take a picture and if the car isn't moved in 24 hours then further action will be taken (I've never seen further action though) air conditioning and heating isnt the greatest and having the issue resolved is worse. the parking spots are too close so be prepared for your car to be hit also. the best part about living here is the location. it's close to all freeways and meijer is right next door. there are a lot of restaurants close by as well so doordash options are endless.
